Wore this every single day
Warmer than I expected so it was perfect for everything. I wore this way more than I could have predicted and almost kept it for another month. Would def buy if affordable. Size down at least 1 size, my sis thinks I should have sized down 2 to wear with baggy jeans. It's a bit cropped but otherwise divine. The shoulder things come unsnapped when wearing a purse but easily snap back together.

weird fit
very short and proportions seemed off. only the collar is actually embroidered, everything else is more or less a picture of embroidery. I didn't end up wearing.

would be fine in the spring, I guess, but it was still too cold in NYC in march to wear and now I don't have a use for it. it arrived NWT but still looked a little fuzzy (like felt maybe?), which seems odd for an item worth $1000, although that might just be because it's not patterned and all wool coats look like this no matter their cost.

Rented, didn't end up wearing cuz of cold weather, kept another month because it was on an episode of Shrinking, struggled to style. Ultimately wore it with some Agolde baggy jeans I bought from here, and it was fantastic... but, ultimately, a crop top. I knew this going in and I still think it looked good but I'm not exactly a crop top person and felt a bit weird about it. There are shoulder pads which also felt foreign but it looked cute. Can't wear a bra cuz of the armpits. I considered buying it.. but it's a crop top... maybe one day I'll go for it. Harder to style than I expected it to be.

Rented to wear with a shirt I was having trouble styling. It looked TERRIBLE on. Other reviews are right that it's heavy and somewhat sparkly, but it was mainly insanely unflattering. I wore it for maybe 3 total minutes and never wore it again. Looked so bad that l genuinely thought "oh this must be the type of thing that doesn't sell well and that's why RTR ends up with it".. people in other reviews def look cute but def not me! Hardest of passes.

I actually loved this, very VERY unique, HAS POCKETS, but was way too big. Has an elastic waistband but I couldn't fold it over, it just kind of rolls around. Couldn't roll it over a belt either - none of my usual hacks worked! But I still wore it out and still loved it. Will def reorder a size down.

So close
I struggled with this a lot because I thought maybe it was just too small and I should size up and it would be good, but the drop waist hits at a weird place that is not flattering. I thought about sizing up in the future but my sister pointed out this is the case even for the model... unclear. I sized down to a 4 based on reviews and the Cinq a Sept website and probably just 1 would have been better, at least for comfort, but the drop waist would still be unflattering on my body type I think. I definitely saw a couple reviews where it looked absolutely bangin but...

Gorgeous but not warm
Absolutely beautiful coat. It matched my dress perfectly so I wore it rather than a parka but even with a long velvet dress and long underwear, I was freezing! Definitely not appropriate for sub freezing temps. Pockets are fairly useless. Color perpetually stood up partway so you could see the light pink underside which was pretty but distracting from the sleek monotone vibe

Loved the built in corset. Definitely a doozy to put on but expected for a corset... I found it easiest to step into and unzip skirt to ease that process. The zipper was a nice touch for ease of walking - could unzip a bit so I could walk faster. Top loosened up significantly by itself throughout the night or I'd give it 5 stars

I loved these so much I considered buying them, but then I noticed this weird white line on the crotch. I thought maybe it was dirty but it's part of the fabric... so I thought maybe it was a defect.. but everybody's has the same line! Way more noticeable in person and not ideal

Love this. Have tried both M and S, like the look of M more. If I had more opportunities to wear it I would buy it. It looks a little bit shaggy on the non-mushroom side (consistent with all 3 I tried irl and the other reviews' pics) but good info to share!

Fits tts but is skin tight and see thru (mesh) probably no matter what size you wear. I wore with tank underneath like her other shirt. Loved them both - this would be epic for NYE (came a day late...)

Backs don't lock
Earrings are heavy and the backs don't lock so they can get pulled out with very little effort. Since it's cold and I'm wearing a jacket and scarf everywhere, I can't wear them because I can't afford to replace them if I lose one/both! I tried using some earring backs from other pairs I own and they didn't fit either. Beautiful earrings but I couldn't wear them out

Uncomfortable and unattractive
Too small, too short, looked incredibly awkward no matter what I wore them with. They are definitely ankle jeans and I think I didn't expect them to be so short but essentially they are mom jeans in a really bad way. Nice wash though

Weirder than I'm comfortable with
I knew it'd be weird but I thought I could rock it.. but the combo of color/3d elements/crop was too many weird factors at once. It's super well made and high quality, but not something I can convince myself to wear out in public, even with the mindset of never seeing those people in public again (NYC). Tried it with baggy and fitted jeans, boots, and heels, and couldn't get a comfortable vibe. Did not end up wearing.

NYC fangirl delight!!
I am NYC's biggest fangirl so I couldn't wait to wear this out on the town and I am still so excited. However, I am very much biased. It is incredibly stretchy and comfortable (I got some black camis to wear under as it is absolutely see through) and I would wear it close to every day if I could BUT the art is coffee cups that are spilled or have gum on them, and there's a spilled cup dripping coffee right over my left boob (see pic). I'm fairly clumsy so I had to check and recheck repeatedly to see that I didn't actually spill on myself and I actually knew what the pattern was! In other words, it very much looks like you've spilled on yourself. Not sure how to get around that.. maybe not wearing a dark shirt underneath so that it would be clearer that the spills are from the pattern and not the wearer? Will try with just a bra when it is less cold!

The reviews about uncomfortable straps are not wrong, but with enough adjusting (tighten them!) it becomes worth it. I tried getting fashion tape but didn't have time to make it work. Wore it on a record cold night in Manhattan with a heavy coat, scarf, and boots w warm socks and wasn't remotely cold - this is truly lined velvet so it is definitely warm. I would not recommend this for anything above 70 degrees F unless you're ok with sweating. I have DDs and didn't need to wear a bra - they are obviously not pushed up but the support from the dress alone was surprising. I am absolutely smitten with this and would buy it if it was less expensive - kicking myself for missing the 60% off. Everything about this dress is absolutely divine - color, fit, fabric... next time it's on sale I will be buying it! It is definitely very cleavage forward so if that's not your thing then don't bother unless you wear it over a shirt, which either could actually work or just seems like it could because I remain so smitten by this dress!!!

Super flattering, girly
Loved this so much! Told my sister to rent it immediately after I tried it on. Will likely buy. The neck part is a tiny bit uncomfortable but the fabric was soft enough not to bother me too much and I ended up wearing this twice in 4 days. The skirt is wonderfully flouncy and very feminine. It's conservative enough to wear with the grandparents but still very cute and well fitting. Elastic buttons at neck are annoying but not a dealbreaker - I thought they'd be much worse than they are.

Super fun, glows in the dark!
Somebody else said this requires a PhD to put on. I have a PhD so I figured I could handle it. They were not wrong!! For others - just take out all the strings except the very first two (which form the arm loops) and then lace it up after. The skirt has a zipper so you can easily get in that way and then basically wrap it onto yourself. However I don't think this is made for big titties - it never quite looked right no matter how many times I adjusted it or had other people adjust it, and my stepdad kept telling me to rearrange cuz of the side boob. This is also super short so I wore it with shorts. I would not say it was particularly flattering on my bod but it was still super fun and very danceable!

Favorite piece of rental
These are superb. Nicely heavy denim - not too heavy but not too floppy. I prefer the baggy as opposed to barrel look so the clasps on the bottom are only a gimmick, but even so these are my favorite jeans I've worn in years.
