I'm size 8, I ordered one 8R and 6R and end up wearing the 6R I wish I had a 4R, it fits a little too big on the waist and it is really low cut. I also used a 5 inch heels and (I'm 5'2'') still was a little bit long. It's heavy and warm, but it's a gorgeous gown.
