This was the second dress I received for my birthday last year, and I was unable to wear it. It fit well on top, but my hips/thighs were too wide and the dress is definitely made for someone smaller.

I rented this dress for my birthday outing last year, and was not able to wear it. It fit really well in the bust area but was very snug around my hips/thighs. Would definitely work best for someone with smaller hips.
