Not my first choice
I didn't end up wearing this dress, which had been sent as a substitute for a dress that didn't ship. The dress is extremely long and has a pretty full skirt. I didn't figure out how to tie the rope that creates the waist accent.

Sophisticated and fun.
The dress is heavy fabric that holds up very nicely, but is probably too much for a summer wedding. The detail on the shoulder surprisingly stays up well.

It was a perfect combination of formal and fun.
The length was fairly long. I'm just under 5'5" and wore 4 inch heals. I could walk in the dress, but dancing was very difficult. Because of the length, the slit didn't show as well when I walked, but watch out when you sit--make sure you have a napkin over your lap. Overall I loved the dress and felt great in it.

Fun dress, not most flattering in photos.
I loved the look and feel of the dress, but I never got the boat neck to sit quite right nad I think it made me look heavier in photos.

Long but beautiful.
It was very long for a 5'5" girl, but I got so many compliments it was worth figuring out how to walk about in the long dress. I wear a size 4 consistently at JCrew and banana and the 4 fit perfectly.
