I walked the pink carpet for a fashion event in NYC and this was my back up dress. I am typically skeptical about dresses that only come in S, M, & L sizes. I'm short (5'2") and curvy, which makes for tough sizing. My size is typically an 8 or a 10 (usually 10 because of my curves). I wasn't very optimistic about ordering a L. However, this dress was a miracle worker! It has a thick, stretchy material that hugged my curves and gave a very smooth look. The color is a bold red-orange that turned heads. I was able to get ready for the pink carpet with the models backstage and received several compliments from the models. As a college Business professor at a fashion event, I already felt completely out of my league. However, this dress allowed me to be professional yet fashion-savvy. The only problem I had was that the L was a bit too big for my torso. I had to make sure the shoulder didn't droop too much. It wasn't constant or too bad. I would BUY this dress if I could.

Ordered this is walk a pink carpet event in NYC. I was escorting one of my students to a starr-studded event to celebrate scholarship winners and a model search. Unfortunately, she brought a white dress. So, I had to wear my backup dress. Thankfully, I rented 2 options! This dress is simple, yet chic. It's a beautiful palate for amazing accessories and provides a smooth silhouette for a curvy figure like mine. The sleeves were slightly tight. However, I have muscular arms. I will definitely rent this again and hope to wear it soon!

I wore this gorgeous necklace with a floor-length, high-waist skirt and a tailored white blouse. I was a bit unsure of how well the necklace (which is modern and edgy) would pair with my skirt (traditional and conservative); however, I really had nothing to fear. I received a ton of compliments on the necklace. It really added a touch of bling and fun to the ensemble. My hubby loved it and said that it created a more youthful and edgy look to my outfit.

This dress has thicker material with some very cool texture. It was perfect for a professional conference. I wore a black cardigan over it while in the frigid conference rooms. The thick material was VERY forgiving of my non-flat stomach-- no spanx needed. The hem on my dress was drooping a bit. I had hem tape but didn't use it because it wasn't too bad. No one seemed to notice. It hit just below my knee (I'm 5'2"). This was fine for me because of the professional nature of my conference. But if you want a head-turning dress, move on to something else. This was perfect for my goals-- comfort, professional, & unique.

I wore this to a cocktail awards dinner for a professional conference. It was a winner!!! I had so many women stop me and describe me as a fashionista. The mesh panel at the side was not very noticeable; this may be due to my brown skin. But it didn't need the mesh panel to be sophisticated and very curve friendly. The asymmetrical hem added interesting lines to the dress, and the material was definitely high end. I will be renting this one again! I wish I could buy it.

Originally, I thought this dress was black and white. I wanted to wear it to a business conference with black tights to make it more modest and appropriate for business casual. Unfortunately, I only looked at the photos and didn't read the description which clearly described it as cream and navy blue. Oh well! I returned it immediately. But it would have been cute for another occasion. The material is thick and ribbed. Great for an indoor, air-conditioned event--- just not appropriate for more conservative and professional occasions <---- in my opinion.

I liked this dress. It is unique; it's modern; it's fun; it's comfortable. My husband hated it. This dress does not accentuate your shape, but that was ok with me. In addition, it's very short. I'm only 5'2" but hit me at mid-thigh. I can't imagine how short it is on women of average height. I wanted to wear this to a 2pm ballet performance with a jacket, but my husband was not a fan. I had another RTR dress option, and wore it instead.

I wore this for two events on the same day. The first event was a 2pm ballet performance; the second event was a 6:30pm wedding. I paired the dress with a casual jean jacket for the mid-day ballet performance and a black shrug for the evening wedding. For both events, I wore black, patent leather peep-toe shoes with a low heel (2" because I would be in them about 10 hours). ABOUT THE DRESS: The bodice was a bit tight on my 36D bust (but not unbearable), and at times it showed too much cleavage for my taste. I'm not a big fan of showing all my cleavage, so it may be just right for those who are more comfortable with displaying cleavage. The sash/belt was a lot longer than what I realized. It wrapped twice around my waist. This isn't a pro or a con; it was just a surprising observation. The dress was comfortable, cute, and very appropriate for both events. I would definitely rent it again.

As a petite (5'2") woman, finding gowns that fit my short torso is tough! This empire waist classic gown was perfect for me. Wore this with the Ciner Antique Cascading Crystal Necklace and the Kenneth Jay Lane Princess Dangle Earrings (both were rented from RTR). In addition to being the only red dress in a sea of black gowns, I stood out because of the simple elegance of this dress. It's conservative but visually stunning. I wore Nine West platform pumps with about a 4" heel; they were the perfect height for me to "float" across the room without tripping on the dress.

This dress is gorgeous! However, I'm 5'2" with a short torso. Please don't ask me why I thought it would fit correctly. In hindsight, it wasn't the smartest idea. But I love how beautiful the dress is. The torso was 2-3 inches to long for me, which led to gaps in the back, side and front of the torso. If I found this on a clearance rack at a boutique, I'd buy it and pay to have it altered. If you have a regular or tall torso--- go for it. This dress is a show stopper. As you can guess, I didn't wear it; I wore my back-up dress (Ruby Red Gala Gown by Badgley Mishka) instead.

These earrings are lightweight (which is the #1 criteria for earrings for me) with a HEAVY bling factor. I could barely feel them on. They are princess cut "stones" that provide a brilliant sparkle to any attire. They add a big dose of bling without being overpowering to your other jewelry.

Originally, I wasn't very impressed with this as a dress, so I slipped on black shorts and a black bandeau top underneath. The biggest surprise about this dress was the material. I expected it to be more of a shiny satin-type finish. Instead, it was more like polished cotton. Olive green dress with bright orange belt for a pop of color. I have to admit that it took me a few tries to figure out how to put the dress on, but it really wasn't that complicated. This dress is so cute, but I didn't wear it. The fabric feels great and the design is unique and very pretty. Here's the problem: The waist in this dress accentuates the curve of the hips. As a short woman with a pear shape already, I didn't need any help in this area. In addition, the pattern made my chest look a lot fuller/heavier than I liked. If I had a leaner figure, this could have worked for me. Oh well!
