I was so pleasantly surprised that this dress worked! I rented it in a 4 and got a 6 as a backup because of other reviewers' comments about it running small. For me, it definitely ran big in the chest and shoulder area which rarely happens (I'm a 34D). I wish I had rented a 2 for a backup although the 4 definitely worked (and encouraged me to sit up straight all night!). The big negative of the dress is that the lining is too long and shows when you sit down. All in all, it's classy and sexy - a perfect summer party combo.

I rented this in a size 4 and it basically fit. If my chest was slightly larger, it would have been too tight. I would recommend this for a daytime event, but it is not as appropriate for evening. I love any dress with pockets, but the lining on these pockets showed which made it look like not as classy a look as you'd want. All being said, I think there are better options on RTR.

I'm petite - 5'2" and was afraid these might be way too big, but they were PERFECT. I wore them with the Helmut Lang "Bit of Sheer" dress. They did a great job of adding some fun to the Helmut gray. Wish I could keep them!

I ordered this for a Friday date night just to have a little something special. It was perfect in the amazingly hot NYC summer heat - the fabric is light and comfortable, doesn't wrinkle, doesn't show sweat. I was concerned it might be completely unflattering because I am not straight and narrow, but the dress fit just right, and I didn't feel like I was trying too hard. It's perfect for daytime too. The dress was long on me (just above the knee) but certainly age appropriate. If you're smaller than a 34D, then it's likely worth ordering a size down for your backup size. There's not much stretch to the fabric on the backside, so if you're fuller in the back, you might want to stay away from this one. The dress is fantastic for hiding any belly!
