This dress was understated but gorgeous and comfortable. The fabric doesn't wrinkle so it would travel very well, to boot. I wore it with a cardigan for an outdoor evening affair so the open back was not an issue with a bra. I ended up wearing the backup size 2, because it was slightly less fitted and looked more professional but both 2 and 0 were true to size -- also for some reason size 2 had more shimmer than size 0. As long as you keep in mind that there is a variation in the amount of shimmer, you should not hesitate to rent this dress!

I ordered sizes 0 and 2 for a formal work dinner and ended up wearing a 0. It is body conscious and at the same time forgiving and flattering. The fabric is fairly heavy and the dress is very well constructed. The zipper in the back runs from top to bottom, so you can open the bottom of the dress for a slit -- it makes for the dress much easier to walk, move in and out of a car. I am 5'3" and the dress came down to right above my knee. I paired this dress with a navy blazer and a colorful bag. Got a ton of compliments and turned heads!

This was the backup dress I rented for a wine country wedding. I ended up wearing it out to a nice dinner and shopping at the Grove in LA the night before, and the compliments came from nearly every single person with whom I spoke. I was pleasantly surprised by how well-maintained the lace portion of the dress was -- as many RTR ladies know, popular dresses such as this one tend to show their age due to myriad of wears and cleanings they undergo. With a size 0 (and I usually wear a 0), this dress fit comfortably and a little loosely. It was heavier than I had expected, but the skirt draped beautifully without adding much bulk. The amount of fabric and heaviness was the only reason I chose the other dress over this one (Shoshanna Lace Cecile Dress -- RTR misspelled the name of this dress, FYI, by spelling it "Ceclie") This dress seems incredibly versatile; it's comfy, cute, and flirty and elegant at the same time. I would recommend this dress for a romantic picnic, dinner, theater, cocktail party, or a daytime wedding.

In person, the color is a muted burnt orange, which was a nice surprise. I had ordered two sizes -- 0 and 2, and I noticed that while 0 fit me better, it fit a little funny at the bust because the bustier was broken on one side. I called RTR and received a replacement dress the next day. Yay to great service! The dress held up nicely, I never needed to worry about hiking up the strapless dress. My husband loved it when I wore it to our date night!

Awesome dress. Wore it for a friend's wedding and I received so many compliments! Subtle yet glamorous and eye-catching. The length, for me, was also perfect -- stopped at the knee. Great with nude platform heels.
