I needed a purple dress to be in wedding party, and this one worked great. The color is blue-ish purple, which was super flattering on my skin. The cut of the dress covered enough that I felt appropriate in a church (even the length--which can be hard for my tall frame) yet it was super slimming and flattering. It was also very comfortable to dance in all night.

This dress was perfect for my company's holiday party. It was extremely flattering and forgiving. My chest filled the dress out completely, but it was not overly tight--just a tad snug. I would have given it 5 stars but the sleeves were sort of uncomfortable, and they restricted my arms a bit. I think this wouldn't be a problem for someone whose chest didn't fill the dress out so much.

RTR sent me this dress as a backup after the other dress I rented wasn't available. It is a beautifully made dress with gorgeous fabric. The 6 fit great--it was a little snug on my chest, but not in an unflattering way, although a woman with a larger chest might have a problem. The way the bottom is banded makes it very "flouncy" in a fun way, although it was a little short in the back, so you'd have to be careful bending down. The only thing I didn't like is that the neckline hit me too high--it almost looked like it was supposed to be the back of the dress. I ended up wearing my first choice dress, but this would have been a good back up option!

I wore this dress for my rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. It was super flattering and I received a ton of compliments. I liked that it showed the exact opposite parts of my body as my wedding dress. The dress definitely runs large--I normally wear a 6, and the 4 fit perfectly--not even remotely snug, not even across my chest.

I wore this dress for my bridal shower. It's cute, and I got a lot of compliments on it, I just didn't love the fit. The skirt started above the smallest part of my waist so it wasn't the most flattering to my body--I'm tall and have this problem with a lot of dresses, so it wouldn't be a problem if your waist was high or your upper body was shorter. It's also not the best top for a larger bust. The size 6 overall fit better on me, but it was so tight across my chest that I had to go with the 8. I would guess this dress would be most flattering on a pear or apple shaped woman.

Wore this dress for a bachelorette party in Vegas. It looked amazing when I first put it on, but, as other reviewers said, the top slides down quite a bit, exposing the top of your bra, even with mass quantities of fashion tape. I tried a number of different bras with it and had this problem with all. It's snug and supportive enough to go braless, but I figured I rather have my bra show a little than risk a potential nip-slip. Also, the dress slid way up when I was dancing, so I had to keep pulling it down. So, it looked hot, but it required too much tugging and pulling. The M fit, but was much tighter than other Herve Leger dresses in the same size.
