Great in theory.
Long may she reign, but if Liza Minelli ever crosses the rainbow bridge to the great beyond, I would imagine this is what I would wear to the funeral at Studio 54 as I wait behind Bette Midler to do lines in the bathroom-- because there honestly isn't another appropriate occasion to bust this bad boy out for unless you're a particularly secure person.

I had been dying for any excuse to rent this dress only to be incredibly underwhelmed when I tried it on. The material is bunchy, structure-less, staticky and seemingly picks up everything and anything around you. I gave it a hard pass, but man, was it a crushing experience after dreaming of wearing it for so long.

Hands down-- the perfect (relatively conservative) LBD ever!
I wore this dress on a date night in the middle of January to one of New York City's top restaurants-- this dress is now my new 'power' dress. Conservative yet sexy with the sweetheart neckline, hugs every curve yet falls below the knee; pair it with slender heels and you'll never want to take it off. Double tape if you've got a small chest like I do.

This faux wrap top paired with any 'ol pair of jeans has elevated my 'mom uniform' to a whole new level. I love the fact that it flatters even small chested women like myself and the puffed sleeves make it tres chic.

Absolutely stunning!
I wore this out to dinner in Manhattan in January. The intricate cut out details along the neckline and waist make the dress-- no accessories needed, just a pair of heels. Keep in mind that the waist tends to roll up when you sit which hides the cut outs.

Ultimate unforgettable dress
I wore this for a private film screening and completed the look with a leather jacket. Loved the fit however it runs ridiculously long-- like I'm 5'3", wore 4" heels and still had to pick the dress up to walk around-- kind of long.

Absolutely stunning!
This dress might just be one of my fav rentals ever-- high-end fabric with a subtle sheen, well constructed and falls on the body beautifully. The length might leave you slightly perplexed; I'm 5'3" and it wasn't quite floor length but not tea length either so you'll need to carefully consider the height of your footwear. Tip for wearing it: put double-sides tape on the ends of the faux belt strips to keep from readjusting it all night as it tends to flip to its backside with movement.

Favorite coat for the season!
Be that pop of color in a sea of dark coats this winter and feel fabulous in it! This magenta gem might be slightly scratchy to the touch on the outside but ridiculously warm and a much needed 'oomph' to the soul when the sun goes down so early.

Confession: I rented this because seemingly every mom in lower Manhattan has a similar jacket-- and now I understand why. It's giant, it's fluffy and it's a hug magnet for every kid you come in contact with whether you gave birth to them or not. The dusty purple is slightly worrisome because in poor lighting it can appear grungy and dirty. Great rental; on the fence purchasing.

This might just be the perfect everyday summer dress-- super flattering even for someone with a small chest like me, light and airy fabric, and easy to dress up in nude pumps or simple sandals. If you're on the fence, take the leap!

Oh you guys...
I wanted to LOVE this so bad-- so, so bad. But the fit, the bagginess at the bottom, and large gaps at the breasts, so bad-- so, so bad. I have a wide rib cage, small chest and waist and it just wasn't meant to be. It's a super fun print and cut-- this would look killer on someone with a larger bust.

The perfect summer floral for the Hamptons!
This dress is super versatile-- pair it with nude heels for date night or barefoot for a walk on the beach. The fabric keeps you cool and ventilated without the slightest signs of sweat marks. This is definitely one of my fav RTR finds!
