I had high hopes for wearing this dress for a romantic Valentines Day dinner. I am usually a size 4. The color and quality of the dress was lovely, the lining was silk. However, the hips of both the size 4 was small and tight (thick twill blend fabric with zero stretch), except for the front pleats which unfortunately made me look like I had a paunch. The size 6 fit better in the hips, however after getting it zipped up completely in the back, the neck to waist of the size 6 was too low for my 34d chest for modesty. I returned both dresses sadly.

This is a well made dress and designed to stretch to fit many body types. The back of the bust has elastic ruching so it fit my 34D chest and had elastic so it wouldn't slide out of place too much. The problem is that it made me look I had no waist; in fact, I think this dress would have only looked flattering on me had I been pregnant. Not being pregnant, I passed on this dress design and returned both sizes.

This dress is a deep dark purple red color and was longer (almost knee length) than most Herve Leger dresses. I am a 34D and was able to wear it with just a stick-on Nubra which provided just enough cleavage and light spanx to smooth out my pantilines. The size small wasn't too tight on me (I am usually a size 4 due to my chest but a size 2 pant size in the hips) and I think someone a little bigger could have worn the size Small if they wanted it to fit bandage-skin-tight. The front zipper is so much easier to get up than with other Herve Leger dresses, and there is a sturdy, well hidden hook and eye at the cleavage to keep it closed. My only wish was that the color be a bit less dark. I wore it with nude platform louboutins because black shoes would have made it too boring. I got a mani and pedi in a dark purple almost black shade.
