This dress was super cute and fun to wear. The tie at the top is a unique detail that also helps cinch the waist of the dress to make it super flattering. I'm usually a size 10, but it wasn't available. The 8 was a little small but loosened the longer I wore it. I'd recommend renting you usual size or going up a size because the buttons are real! Had a couple of button scares that probably could have been avoided if I would have been wearing a size up.

This dress was such a delightful surprise! I ordered 2 sizes up as I usually do with DVF, but this one was actually true to size... and was rather large on me... however, with a small belt cinched at the waist, the silhouette was absolutely dreamy! I wore this everywhere for a few weeks, from berry picking on a farm in 90+ degree heat, to work, to running errands around town. Everywhere I went I felt comfortable (breathable, lightweight silk FTW) and #vintagefancy. Can't wait to rent again. P.S. I can't emphasize enough how much a slim belt will do for this dress, esp if you have an hourglass figure.

DVF always runs a little small on me, esp in the chest area, so I sized up for this one. The bodice and the skirt are made of different fabrics, where the skirt is a shinier, satin-y silk. It made the draping lovely but also made it feel just a little flimsy. I would recommend wearing a thin slip or at least some fuller shapewear if you're concerned about coverage. That said, I wore this multiple times and would rent again. It was great with a cardigan for the office or dressed up for a night out too.

I'm usually a US 8-10, but in LK Bennett I'm between a US 10-12/ UK 14-16. This was only available in a US 12 but really fit closer to a US 16. The waist was so large it barely stayed up on my hips. Such a comfortable and easy to wear gown! I wore if for a "Sparkle & Shine" themed holiday party. I tried on probably 30 different dresses-- this was the 3rd one I tried on and I kept coming back to it! Unlike other sparkly or shimmery dresses, this has no scratchy, fussy, delicate or heavy embellishments like beads or sequins. The gown is lined with the softest, t-shirtiest jersey that made me feel like I was cheating the formal wear system I was so comfortable. In the photo I'm wearing an 8, but I ended up sizing up and wearing spanx and a strapless bra. A couple of notes on fit-- it's very low cut and I had a hard time finding a strapless bra for my 32G chest that didn't show. I ended up safety pinning the super long straps up in the back (halter style), which helped provide more coverage. It looked okay in person I think, but due to the super shiny, reflective material, you could see the outline of bra in flash photography which really irked me. But other than that... super lovely find that I would highly recommend! I got tons of compliments.

Ended up not wearing these because the fit on the leg was just odd. I was expecting skinny jeans and prefer a more fitted calf/ ankle area. A general note on quality... I think the intended fit is supposed to be more blousey and flowy, but the size 4 was all that was available in the store. Super fitted + shorter length + lots of cleavage made this dress super sexy but... maybe a little too much for my very curvy figure. I had to keep adjusting the top to make sure my bra wasn't showing and felt like i had to also keep pulling it down so it wasn't too short, which made the top part show even more cleavage, so all In all, I was a fidgety mess all night. . I think this could work on a slimmer figure or if you're super comfortable with showing a lot of cleavage. So comfy, versatile and flattering. I wore these on 2 flights, out to dinner, and at least 2 other times on a recent trip to Europe. I loved wearing these while traveling because the fabric is resistant to lint, pilling, and wrinkles. I wore a L and am usually a 10 in trousers. The fit around the waist was comfortable- not too fitted but didn't look or feel big. The hip and leg areas are relaxed. I always paired these with a slimmer fit top (bodysuits worked great) to balance out the baggier fit of the bottoms.
