Gorgeous color with a beautifully-placed ruffles
Pros: the color, the ruffles that didn't look like a bib, the stretch and give of the dress Cons: there's no hiding a belly if you've got one and are self-conscious of it - Spanx are a necessity for this dress, and I didn't have it (wish I did though because I think I would have been more comfortable wearing this dress than the one I chose to wear to the wedding)

Gorgeous color and shape
Pros: gorgeous color appropriate for any season, the ruching hid an area of my body that I'm often conscious about Cons: the straps were a little loose and gave me that overflowing-side-boob look, avoiding panty lines may be difficult in this dress

Classic and beautiful
I typically like to wear dresses that show my figure but with an early preggo belly, I was able to successfully hide my belly while still showing off other curves. It was classic and very Audrey-Hepburn-esque.

The sexy little black dress you've always wanted in you closet!
It wasn't forgiving since the material wasn't stretchy at all, and your skin might pop out of the side while seated poorly, BUT it forced you to sit upright and have good posture! Definitely a classy and sexy dress without being too over the top and inappropriate for a wedding.

Best comment of the night: "You look like you just walked out of Downton Abbey!"
This dress may seem really simple and a bit boring, but it really allows you to add accessories and make it your own. I wore my dress to a Gatsby-themed boat party, and it was perfect. Long pearls, rhinestones, and some T-strap shoes really make the outfit. Though many people who have reviewed this dress have used it for 1920's-themed events, it's definitely a dress that you could wear for non-themed events, too. Fair warning: the material is thick... like sweater-material-thick. It's perfect for autumn/winter events, but you might be pushing it if you'll be wearing it during any other part of the year. My event was the last week of May/first week of June BUT it was on a boat where temperatures dropped to 58 degrees so it really wasn't too bad. Something else to be prepared for: the feathers fall off the dress. It started as soon as I put it on. To be honest with you, I'm surprised there are still feathers on the dress from previous renters! And by the end of the night, the back of my thighs were tinted black from the dye on the feathers. Not really ideal, but I didn't care much since everyone was pretty intoxicated by the end of the night, and I'm sure they didn't care all too much. I'm 5'4 and the dress hit mid-thigh. It might be shorter for the taller gals, so if you can make it to a showroom, I'd highly suggest trying it on first. That or order a size-up for your back-up size just to take length into consideration.

This was a head-turning dress that was super comfortable and flattering!
Form-fitting, classy, and sexy are just a few words that come to mind when reminiscing about this beautiful dress. I tend to wear a size 6/small at stores like Ann Taylor, J Crew, and Gap, however, this dress is meant to hug your curves and may cling a bit tighter in areas so a size 8 fit me perfectly. The material used in the arms are stretchy but are a bit tight. I do know that when I lifted my arms, the dress pulled up a bit. The material is pretty thick which is great for cooler winter weather, but it's also great for hiding any imperfections ;-) The material is pretty stretchy which makes it super comfortable throughout the night. My only complaint was that after a bit of sitting, the material began to crease across the fabric and bunch.

This dress is so amazingly classy and timeless! People at the wedding and on the street loved it!
First and foremost, let me say that I absolutely love this dress - I wish I could keep it and find more events where I could wear it. It's got sort of an old-Hollywood feel to it, yet totally modern. I usually wear a size 6 or small in tops, a 6 in dresses and a 6 or 8 in pants, with a 36B bust so I ordered the dress is both a size 6 and 8. I couldn't even zip up the 6, but the 8 fit like a glove. Fair warning: the dress is SUPER long particularly in front. I wore 3 inch heels with the dress but I really felt like 4 inch heels would have been perfect (if you can manage to walk in them all night). You also don't need to wear a bra as there is wire-shaping within the dress. And don't expect there to be any give in the material just in case you decide to eat an elephant at your event. However - the dress is a dream and I was so amazingly happy to have rented it!
