The feathers were the best part of the dress--they made it fun and unique.
The dress fit great. As others have mentioned, it's made of a sweater material, which made it great for a New Year's Eve dress--I think it kept me a LITTLE warmer. The feathers are attached to a band without give--if you have thicker hips/butt, this could be a problem. For me, it made the dress ride up a bit during the night, but I didn't mind because my legs looked GREAT. I did wear it with hosiery too. I'm 5'8'', so not super tall, but the dress was definitely "short" on me. I like short dresses, so it wasn't a problem, but if you're on the taller side and looking for something longer, take that into consideration. In the end, I really loved this dress and would totally recommend it.

I didn't end up wearing this dress.
I ordered this as my back up dress. I didn't end up wearing it. I have broader shoulders and as a result, the top just didn't hang right, I didn't even try with the buttons. The body of it seemed true to size, but I think the top will fit a smaller shouldered woman better.
