Comfy style
I rented this and another dress to wear to a Wizard of Oz Gala, I ended up wearing the other one just because it was a bit more formal. This is a cute style with very big shoulder pads. The eight fit really well. I am 5’8 1/2 and the dress is pretty short, but not scandalously so.

Flattering, comfortable, attention-getting
This is a pretty dress - the fabric is a stiff cotton rather than something more formal, but from a distance it looks glamorous. It got lots of positive comments and makes a statement while being more modest. I wore the S because it fit my back better; generally I'm a M. I think if I had a larger chest I would have worn the M. There are pockets! Be aware: 1) it will need to be steamed or ironed, 2) the open back requires a specialty bra; 3) don't forget to pull the long bow aside before going to the bathroom!

Unique, eye-catching, comfy
Wore this to a fundraising event in early spring; the long sleeves etc. made it comfortable for a cooler-weather event. The small was tight across the stomach so I wore the M - may want to consider some kind of tight undergarment! Got lots of compliments and most importantly, was fun to pull on and be fabulous without a lot of effort!

Modern and classy.
I rented this for a fundraising gala where the goal wasn't necessarily to be the center of attention. It was a great option. Pay attention to the sizes since they aren't traditional American sizes. I usually wear a size 6 dress and rented the 10L and the 12L. The 10L was in better condition and fit like a glove, but the neck was so incredibly tight that I couldn't breathe (and I don't have a thick neck). I ended up wearing the 12L just because of the neck issue even though it was slightly too big and wasn't quite as pristine as the 10L. Beware of the slit -- although it was fine for my event if you are going to be doing a lot of sitting you'll reveal a lot more leg than you planned to with a long dress.

Fun night, big dress
I rented this for an October wedding in Chicago. I kind of thought there was a "fall" theme to the dress. Although it was lovely and well-made, it was rather large and in-charge at the bottom. This would have probably been more appropriate for an outdoor wedding. Definitely elegant and not too revealing or tight. I was happy with it but it made me look maybe slightly older than I wanted to look.

Elegant and flattering
I rented this for a family wedding in May. The weather ended up being cool and rainy instead of warm and sunny, but the neck, sleeves, and length of the dress made it seem still very appropriate despite the gloomy weather. It was very comfortable and I could wear a regular bra underneath. I could probably have worn better control-top nylons or Spanx -- the dress isn't tight, but a little tummy does show without some coverage. I am 5"9 and I thought the length was perfect with 2.5-inch heels.

Classy dress that stands out in a crowd.
Wore this to an art galley gala event. Conservative except for the open back (it's a good compromise). Fits comfortably - there is some boning but it wasn't restrictive at all. I am 5'9" and the only size available was regular; I definitely could have used a long. I wore black kitten heels and just kind of hoped no one looked down too far. The dresses had seen some wear and will soon need to be retired. I felt like the wear was OK for the event I attended but would have been too much for a more special occasion. Fun dress!

Stylish, comfortable, appropriate
I rented this dress for my husband's Christmas party at a conservative college. I didn't receive lots of compliments like I have with other RTR dresses, maybe because it's pretty straightforward. However it was extremely comfortable, warm for winter (but not hot for dancing), and it was cute without being revealing. I thought the length was perfect but I'm pretty tall, it might be longish on someone shorter than 5'9".

Great modern colors.
I rented this for my birthday party, which I organized myself: afternoon winery visit, city walking tour, and then dinner out with friends and coworkers. The dress was casual enough to not stand out when the rest of my party was dressed more casually. Great sheen and color in person. I wore the 6 and thought the ribcage was tight by the end of the night, even though I often wear 4 in other dresses. In photos I noticed the bottom half pooched out when sitting down - so sit up straight, ladies! I recently rented another dress from RTW and this one got about 3 compliments while the other got about 100, so it's not the dress of the century. . . but still unusual and stylish.

A bit bright
I rented these to wear with an Erin Erin Featherington dress but didn't end up wearing them or the dress. They are lovely earrings, but a bight brighter (in terms of the gemstones and bright gold) than I am used to; I like things to be more matte. They are also heavy.

Even more evidence that designer dresses are completely different from anything at Macys.
I got this dress at the last minute when (thankfully) the backup size of my original choice was unavailable. This dress was incredible -- the nicest dress I've worn outside of my wedding dress. I am in good shape, but even someone in shape can look frumpy in a usual outfit (most of my clothes are cheap and off-the-rack). In this dress my husband said "I won the dress contest" and I got compliments from men and women both. As others have mentioned, seasoned event and venue staff were all impressed with the style, even given the quantity of dresses they see. The neckline and length are classy and not revealing, even with the dress being so close-fitting. I wore simple tan sandals with a small heel to kind of counteract the sexiness of the dress. I felt really comfortable and confident -- it was totally worth the rental, and I will rent Herve Ledger for sure in the future.
