Very flattering but no give.
I received lots of compliments. It is a very flattering dress. I was in between sizes so I wore the smaller size. I probably in hindsight should've won the larger size as it was kind of difficult to dance. I could do like a simple two step but could not get low in the dress. Pictures look great though so I guess it depends on your priority.

Perfect for Beach wedding
This dress had great movement and was photogenic. I'm pear shaped thus it was tight on my thighs but all dresses are tight there if they fit my waste/chest. I think I read reviews mentioning the fitted thigh and knew I would be a medium. I usually wear a small if the dress has room for hips/thighs. For reference I wear size 28 waste jeans at Abercrombie but size small shirt. I received lots of compliments on this dress, I think maybe the most I've ever received on a wedding outfit!

If you're pear shaped size down
This dress gave me room for my hips allowing the size 2 to fit my bust. The back of the dress has some elastic/stretch along the zipper as well. I do not normally wear a size 2 UNLESS my shoulders and hips can be free in the dress. I ordered this for a wedding but we never attended. I tried it on for sizing reference incase I should purchase or rent J crew again. The material felt light and would be great in warm weather.

It sucked me in like spanks!
Tight and sucked my mommy tummy in. I had to unzip the skirt to sit down; I had a jacket I layed over my legs when sitting at the church. It was very tight. Felt like a corset but I didn't mind! It smoothed everything out and the fabric was beautiful with the lovely design. For size reference I'm a 32D/34C at VS. Wear size 6 align pants from lulu lemon.
