Silky and Statuesque
I recently wore a stunning dress to a formal wedding, and it was a game-changer. The dress, with its silky fabric and elegant flow, was not only a joy to wear but also had the added bonus of pockets—such a practical touch! I received a lot of compliments throughout the event, which was a pleasant surprise. What truly impressed me was how flattering the dress was despite its simple column design. It managed to make me look both taller and slimmer. In my decade of renting dresses, this one stands out as a favorite. So much so that it might just be the first dress I ever rent more than once. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a blend of style, comfort, and compliments! Also worth noting - it's the same dress Tina Fey wore in the Booking.com commercial. FUN

Must see live to appreciate
Wore for formal wedding. RTR didn’t have my size so went up and it was fine. The only thing I noticed about going up was a little gaping under arm but it didn’t take away from the look at all. The fabric at top it thick enough so no bra (couldn’t wear one away) but no adhesive bra needed either. The embroidery on the skirt is GORGEOUS and the back is so very flattering. I was told by friend I was just as gorgeous coming as I was going. For all the rentals I’ve had this one got the most attention. I was stopped so many times I lost track. Wore a 2 inch heel and it was perfect.

Gorgeous but not forgiving
Im usually a 14 and had other dresses at 14 that fit fine but this is straight and no stretch at all. Was zipping up and before I got halfway all I saw was my belly sticking out. For that brief moment before saying nope… I thought I looked looked like a rolled jimmy dean sausage.

Soft and glam
The color didn’t flatter but the dress really had old Hollywood glam feel. It fit perfectly and while it looks a little busty in photo it really wasn’t. I didn’t need a bra but cut of dress would’ve allowed for one I am just unsure would the outline have shown thru fabric. It was a nice thickness and stretch that hugged but didn’t squeeze. It was too thick or heavy that you would get hot and it really did have a beautiful drape and flow. I wasn’t a fan of the tie around the waist. I just felt it cut the line of the dress but there is a seam across waist as well. The slit it a nice touch without being too high. I’m 5’8” and in bare feet a small heel would’ve been all I needed to keep it from dragging.

Selected on a whim and wow!
Ok NOW I get why people are gushing about the fabric. It has enough stretch to hug and shape but not so much that it squeezes. I should’ve sized down one more but was worried about it being TOO fitted but shouldn’t have. It was a bit too big so the shoulder straps kept feeling like they would slip (nothing would have been exposed it just was annoying). Another great thing about the fabric and the fit… sitting is very comfortable. The dress gives while still holding a shape. No need for any shape-wear and still no rolls. Think of it like a really soft and a bit more forgiving neoprene. Also at 5”8 I should have gone with long bc it was couple inches off floor in bare feet. The only downside was the inside seams. There was a good deal of fabric making up those inside seams and you’d feel them with every step and that was really annoying to me but maybe when your at the party you’d forget. If I had ordered the right size I think this might have been the winner.

Definitely flatters shoulders and arm hold are high enough to wear a strapless. However, the velvet and cut is more formal but something about the pattern said country bohemian patchwork even though it’s paisley. (My husband came up with that). Didn’t wear. The 14 was my back up and that gave a bit more of a fitted the 16 gave a little more room but not as much shape. So hate to say it was too big so going to go with just right.

Not a good fit for Busty
I rented L and XL and honestly didn't notice a difference in size - they both fit exactly the same. It was a little too fitted for my taste and as a result the V neck was a bit too revealing, would have liked a little more room up top. This wasn't a light airy dress - it's some pretty thick cotton so wearing on a hot day might be tough. Much better for Spring. It was well made and a beautiful dress. Just didn't work for me.

Fun and funky
I just loved this. This was a backup and should've been first choice. It was so much fun to wear and got compliments all night. Fit was great. Didn't have any tight areas and covered up some of the bad ones. Could dress up but I went in the other direction. This had to be one of my favorite rentals.

Fabulous for Fall
Wore this for an outdoor wedding in October in the south. It had a fall feel but was still light enough for the warmer fall weather. This dress has such a luxurious silky flow. The colors are amazing and I received compliments all night. Like other reviewers said it fit PERFECTLY everywhere except right at middle where it was tight. The sleeve was open all the way so it lost the middle thread that held it together but it still looked great.

Go Clemson Tigers!
This was described as red hue but more accurately could be called Clemson Orange, which to be fair is an orange with more red in it. It's vibrant and comfy and I love pockets. I could have worn the 12 but went for a larger t shirt size so to speak. Wore to a HS graduation where graduate was headed to Clemson University so it was perfect! It was an outdoor affair and hot but this was light and breezy. The cotton is stiffer but smooth and soft.

Shine like the top of the Chrysler Building
Beautiful drape and flow. The RTR photos do not show how much this duster SHINES. Think disco ball. I've rented a lot but have never received as many compliments as I did with this. Wore with jeans and black chucks and was comfortable and fashionable and sparkly. The sequins are small but packed a punch. Just loved this!

Comfortable glam
Loved how my shoulders looked and thrilled that it was flattering to the belly region... not my strongest area. Very comfortable and the flow and drape of the skirt was luxurious. I'm 5'8" and wore heels. The 14L was my back up and would've needed 5inch heels to avoid tripping on it. It really does flatter and wore to my son's cotillion so I needed to be able to dance as well. For the bra I used the adhesive cups. A strapless would've shown on sides and back.

Just lovely
I'm writing this almost a year later but this was my first RTR. I loved that I could get that fee backup size b/c I ended up wearing the smaller of the 2 dresses. I'm not one for shopping and I'm certainly not going to spend a lot of money on clothing...especially that I may only wear once or twice. This dress got me so many compliments. It was so comfortable and cut so well that I felt confident all night. Now a year later and so many rentals under my belt. I am hooked.

Breezy & Fun with POCKETS!
I have had my eye on this one for a while and finally pulled the plug. I wore it to an engagement BBQ. It was perfect - dressed up my Sperry's w/ Ribbons and was so comfortable. It took me a little to figure out the sleeves but just went back to RTR model photo and figured it out. It was a huge hit too - I couldn't keep track of the compliments. There's nothing like a complete stranger coming up to you and saying WHERE did you get THAT dress! I'm more than happy to share the secret too! I loved the pockets. This could be dressed up, the fabric is a nice thick cotton but breezy enough for the hottest summer day.

Comfy and slimming
Was at SXSW for work so needed something more casual and these fit the bill perfectly. I was surprised by the slimming effect...guess the camo helped hide about 10 pounds b/c they looked great. ON the day I wore them I started at 9am and finished up at 4am the next day and they were comfy the entire time. Was glad to have them for the cooler evening but they were light weight enough for the afternoon. I don't think I've ever worn anything camo in my life but would really like to own a pair of these.

I loved this and got so many compliments. The cut was forgiving with room to move. Top had boning and felt completely secure and wasn't pulling it up all night. Had similar problem as other reviewers mentioned that the back tag would become exposed but just went with it. I had ordered 12L and 14L both were fine but 12 felt more secure up top. The length was entirely different. With the 14 I was going to need 4in heels with the 12 I wore a 1in kitten mule and it was perfect. That was the main reason I went with 12. For all the glamour it was comfortable which added to my enjoyment.

Breathable & Forgiving
This is the second time I've rented this dress and the second time there is no photo to show for it! I have a "HEARTS" section on RTR called FORGIVING. This is my group of dresses that are forgiving around the mid section as I have a belly AND allow for easy eating at events (why I have the belly). This dress hits on all counts and is comfortable and the cotton is breezy which really came in handy for an outdoor birthday party in the HOT and HUMID South at the end of August. The shoulders stay put and it's flowy and still flattering. I'm sure I'll rent again!

The heat wave was no match for this dress!
An outdoor wedding shower in the South and this dress was perfect. Breezy and comfortable and the pockets are just wonderful. I'm 5'8" and didn't have any issues with the straps being too long as others have said and yet didn't feel exposed. I really liked how well it fit on the top - loose enough to be breezy and comfortable but tight enough that it didn't sag out if I bent over (like most tank tops would do). It's a crisp cotton and the colors are festive. Loved it so much have already rented again.

Beautiful heavy linen and lovely rich shade of red.
Runs small and if you've got any tummy plan on spanx. I wear 12-14 usually and XL zipped up tight and held everything in with no need for a bra but the waist was too tight to be comfortable for an outdoor wedding in my opinion and was not interested in adding another layer to this already heavy material.

I ordered a different dress but the backup size wasn't available so this was sent instead. It's lovely and the cape really adds something. It was a bit snug at the hips (nothing that spanx wouldn't cure) but oh my was it too short. I'm 5'8" and just standing still it was a bit short but if I had wanted to raise my arms up to hug someone it would have been almost criminal. The fabric is heavy and the dress is beautiful but would say if you have a little hip it might not be the best fit.

I rarely dress up so got a lot of compliments on this one.
My original size was not available and only received my backup size. I would have been find in the large but the XL was so comfortable. It's a great take on the little black dress, hides the areas that aren't perfect but the flowing sleeves really add a bit of flare. I'll choose comfort over fashion any day of the week but if I can get both...BONUS!
