Okay, I have to start this off with this: I have a thick, short waist. Normally, I am not so out of the "average" range of sizes that I have trouble finding a dress that fits or is flattering, but if you have a shorter and thicker torso, this dress may NOT be for you! I LOVED the pattern, colors and overall ideas of the dress. I ended up not wearing it because it was too tight in the wrong places and too loose/long in others. - ONE SHOULDER: The one shoulder material was fine on the size small, but on the size medium it felt too large. The arm hole felt tight on the small and cavernous on the large. I am a 36C with a 29" waist. I tried to gather the shoulder and tie it with a ribbon, and it looked more flattering to my torso. - THE WAIST: It would more flattering on a naturally thinner waist or more hour glass figure. On the small it stretched too tightly at the junction of the skirt gathering. On the MED the neoprene material bunched and rolled. - The skirt: Loved how it flowed but on a 5'3" woman it was VERY UNFLATTERING. if the dress was shorter or asymmetrical it would have hit me at a flattering point on my legs and may have made the entire dress do-able with a thick black stretch belt. Too bad! Loved the body con dress I tried on from Clover Canyon for a previous event but learned my lesson: >>If the dress bottom hem hits the model on the website right at her knees, it will hit a short person at a much lower place. >> As a person who does not have a small waist in comparison to my rib cage or hips, I am better served by body con or empire waist dresses. "True" waist fits just emphasize my thick torso. FEEDBACK FOR THE WEBSITE: I would LOVE some petite lengths available if any of these designers make them!
