Feeling like Royalty
This dress is more beautiful in person than on the super-thin model in the picture. It is positively regal with its drape and Victorian silhouette, especially with the corseted fit and royal sash effect. This blue has trickled into every closet in the last two years, but here the gold brocade and nouveau sari styling make it seem new again. The regular length was unavailable and I took the chance on the long. The hemline was perfect with 3 1/2 in heels. It was the draped sashes that were too long, but those can simply be tucked over an arm for any walking. Take a chance on this one. I'm glad I did.

Sumptuous
Oh, what a fun dress! True to size, dangerously short if you'll be sitting, but comfortable -- and a head turner. Great for dancing, too. I did not want to send it back. A low back strapless bustier was perfect underneath.

Better on taller women.
I didn't wear this dress because the front piece connecting to the skirt was too long on me and would not lay flat against my ribs. Too bad -- I loved the look overall, especially the full skirt at the natural waist to hide the ol' baby belly. My 5' 11" sister tried it on for fun, however, and it looked GREAT on her.

Comfortable and sparkly.
I liked this dress, it is comfortable and even has pockets. The brocade pleating is a lovely detail that inspired the rental, but it adds a lot of thickening bulk to the waist's profile--even with a size 4 or 2. The dress got lots of compliments but I still felt like I had no shape.

So many compliments on this dress from colleagues and passersby.
This dress is even more flattering in person than in photos. The skirt is comfortable and has some give and the bodice can accommodate petite and ample chests flatteringly. The grosgrain ribbon waist will not stretch at all, though. A beautiful dress with a steadfast commitment to one's middle.

This is a stunning dress. The lace is very soft and drapes well.
It worked out nicely and I felt beautiful. Two things to know: 1. Try the dress on early WITH any shapewear you plan to use. I didn't put on the shapewear when I tested the sizes two days earlier and realized only hours before the event that I should have tried a smaller size. As a result, the bodice slipped down a little, so I didn't get as much lift and support as I needed and I had to shrug it back into place throughout the evening, Also, the lace in the back bloused over too much--I don't know if that's because it's made for taller women with longer torsos to begin with, or because it was too big. 2. The skirt is cut even more narrow in the thigh and knee than it looks in the picture, which is lovely but limits your stride. We walked a couple blocks between venues during our evening and it was slow going, rather like Peg Bundy. Not an issue if you're sitting pretty or simply walking across the room. Nonetheless, I got lots of compliments and was very comfortable otherwise.
