You don't need the recommended long length if you are on the height cusp...I wore 4.5 inch heels and was still tripping a bit. Great bust support on this dress, and clearly well made. I was a definite size 4 when I wore it, but went with the size 6 (a 44).

Great color, but the dress has been worn a bunch, so fabric hung much lower than on the model. There was a spot on it when I got it--though not noticeable--and felt worn out.
