This dress is much nicer in person than it looks on the website. It was my second choice dress, as the day before the dress was supposed to arrive, the one I ordered was not available. I am short and busty. From the photos of this dress, I thought it would be too long on me, and may not cover enough cleavage. I did not want to wear a cami under the dress. I fell in love with the colors and the bohemian type style. When it arrived, I loved it. The length was just fine on my short legs. Cleavage was just enough, and no need for a cami. The fabric was gorgeous... most of the dress was a chiffon type material, but the bottom skirt part of the dress was a slightly thicker material, which gave the bottom of the dress some weight and the rest of it was a lighter feel. It wasn't hot at all, even with the longer sleeves. Again, I loved it.

What made this unforgettable is not the party I rented the dress for… I didn’t get to go to the party. I ended up in the hospital for emergency surgery the day before my event. What made this experience unforgettable was how professional and courteous the staff at the Rent the Runway was. I was a day late returning the dress, because I was unable to drive after surgery, and I never got to wear the dress out of my living room. I called the company just to let them know about the late return. Not only did they give me a credit (without my even asking) for the entire cost of the rental so that I could rent another dress at another time, they didn’t charge me any late fees for returning the dress a day late. This is an example of a company with wonderful customer service. It makes me feel comfortable and confident giving them my business in the future, and letting other people know about it. Awesome company. Other than that, the dress fit perfectly. I rented a size 12 and a 10 because you never know with formal wear, but the 10 fit like a glove. The dress was in good shape (there was some normal wear to the lace), and overall it was very pretty. It was clean... free of any smells. This was my first experience renting from Rent the Runway, and it went exactly how I expected and then some. I will definitely be using my credit for my next event or party.
