I wore this to an afterwork reception in honor of my husband. Professional enough with a little bit of flair. The dress is easy to wear for the curvy type with just the right emphasis on the bust and waist while hiding the hips and thighs. My only grouch is that the skirt had a tendency to creep up (even with a slip underneath ) especially when climbing stairs. LOVE this dress and will rent it again!

I wore this dress to a corporate dinner in Miami on a winter evening. The dress is fitted thru the rib cage and bust yet generous thru the booty and hips. I was comfortable and felt supported without wearing any bra. The color is rich and beautiful and most definitely a red and (shell) white; the fabric is stiff but not bulky or hot. I think the dress looks best from a frontal view due to the gaps in the crisscross back straps and the cut/position of the waistline in the back. Unfortunately the straps that criss cross in the back are bit long causing a gap at the base which creates some little points/triangles that you can see from a frontal view. I think you can see these in one of the pics I posted. This probably isn't an issue if you have a long torso and could probably be remedied with some fashion tape or help from my mom if she had been there :) The waistline in the back cuts straight across the broadest part of the lower back and has 2 large flat pleats giving the appearance that the dress is bustled in the back (not sure if I'm describing it correctly!) - it would have hung much better and been more flattering if the back waistline had been lower and dipped or curved downward. One other minor annoyance was that the zipper is difficult due to the bulk of the fabric so a second pair of hands if a must! Regardless, I would definitely recommend this dress - pair it with some nude strappy pumps, some rose gold sparkly accessories and you'll feel like a princess!
