Usually I don't rent dresses this conservative, but I am 8 weeks pregnant and feel like I am a different size every day due to bloating and changes in my chest size! So I just wanted something simple, comfy, and covered up. This was a great choice! The under layer is black jersey, with a pale pink lace overlay. The pink lace has silver metallic thread in it. It doesn't look silver so much as just shiny, as it looks on the model. I wore the 6, but the 4 also fit me, probably better than the 6 did. But because of all my pregnancy craziness I went with the 6 and belted it. I had problems with the lining draping below the lace in the front; possibly because I wore the bigger size? It was a pretty casual wedding so it was not a big deal. This would be a great dress to dance in, and definitely something you could wear comfortably all day if you had to. It was very comfortable and low-fuss!

This dress is beautiful! It is all tulle overlay. The skirt is not chiffon like you might think from the picture. It has a very serene, vintage feel. The band around the waist is little flat, round silver beads sewed on in rows, and the same beads are used to decorate the embroidery. It has built-in underwire bra cups. I know RtR says this dress fits a whole size small, but that was not my experience with it. I tried on the 6 and it was definitely too big! They overnighted me a different dress since the 4 was not available, but the back-up dress didn't work, and this dress is so beautiful, that I wore it anyway. The 6 fit me perfectly in the other two dresses in my order, so I would say I'm a pretty solid size 6 and that this dress actually runs big. I would recommend sizing down in your back-up dress! Also, the dress is really long! I am 5'3" and wore shoes with a 6" heel in order to get it to the length you see in my pictures. Turns out, once you get the front of the dress up off the ground, it has a little sweep train in the back, which was a fun surprise but a logistical challenge! The silk tulle is very fragile and I was constantly worried about stepping on it and tearing it, so this dress is definitely best for an event where you intend to look regal while mostly standing or sitting still. It is not right for an event where you intend to mingle a lot or dance! I really loved wearing the dress, although I would have felt much more comfortable in the 4. As always, RtR customer service was AMAZING in getting me alternatives and trying to solve the sizing problem!

I loved this dress, although I didn't end up wearing it. I got it for my friend's spring wedding reception, but it is apparent when you see the dress in person that it is a winter dress. The fabric is a little bit heavier and the colors, while bright, are more of a winter-bright than a spring-bright (if that makes sense!). It was very comfortable, had an easy fit, and a cute fun skirt. It would be appropriate for nearly any fun, not too formal winter occasion.

This was my back-up dress and I didn't end up wearing it. It was too casual for the black tie spring wedding I was attending, and the fabric was so thin that my husband and my friend were able to see my tattoo through the dress. It is a very pretty, easy dress and the coral color is stunning. It is made out of a crepe that has a little bit of stretch, so it is very comfortable. As you can see in the picture, it hit just at the floor on me in bare feet, and I am 5'3". It was perfect for me, but if you are tall it might be an odd ankle length for you. I tried the 4 as well and although it fit, it was much shorter on me than the 6 and I wouldn't have worn it. As other reviewers have said the fabric is VERY THIN. Make sure you've got nude-colored underwear and have thought through how you would cover up anything you don't want to show through, like a tattoo! I would rent this dress again for a different event, such as a summer beach wedding or a more casual outdoor event.

These earrings didn't end up going with the dress I rented them for, but they were so fabulous that I just wore them to work for a day before returning them. They are spectacular, but they are heavy, and they are also in two pieces, held together by a metal chain at the back. The bottom piece kept flipping around, so there was three gemstones at the top and then soldered earring back instead of the lower 6 stones. I was only sitting at my desk at the office, and they kept flipping - I was glad I was not wearing them dancing, or I would have been checking them all the time. Maybe a piece of fashion tape would help stablilize them? But I think that RtR has equally spectacular jewelry that doesn't have this problem, so I suggest exploring other options!

The Pros: I wore this dress with black elbow gloves and the ubiquitous 1920's knotted flapper pearls, and did my hair in finger waves and my make-up like a silent movie star. Even though the dress itself is not very 1920's, it dressed up well and I looked convincing. The color is pretty and the detail on the front of the top is very sparkly and fun! The Cons: The skirt is short and narrow! The 6 fit me perfectly except that I was worried about sitting down. I ended up wearing the 8 for the length. The black ribbon around the waist kept folding in half and even though I tried to tape it down, it kept curling. My picture is distorted from the light switch plate mounted in the middle of the mirror, but you can still tell the proportion of the dress is a little off when the ribbon is narrower. This one is my bad because I saw the pictures of both the front and the back of the dress when I rented it, but it ended up driving me nuts that the front of the dress had a whole lot of detail and shreds of tulle, and the back is completely plain. The front hung down lower because of all the extra detail. And lastly but probably most importantly, the shredded tulle on the front makes this dress puffy. If you are curvy like I am, it is not a very flattering look. It makes you look about 2 inches bigger than you actually are, all across the front of your body. Unless you're going for over the top costume effect, I recommend this dress for someone straighter and narrower, with a smaller chest!

I wore this dress for my cousin's winter wedding. I loved this bag as soon as I saw it on the Lilly website, so when RtR stocked it I knew I had to rent it! Everyone at my cousin's wedding thought it was very cute and clever. The leather is a kind of a silvery gold color but the elephant is bright gold, it is easy to match the bag to pretty much any gold shoes. I wore my standard strappy gold sandals and it looked great.

I loved these earrings. They were classy and comfortable and a great value for what they cost to rent. I also rented the matching bracelet, and the set looked great with the navy blue Nanette Lepore dress I rented.
