This dress is perfect for tall curvy gals! I had a black tie awards ceremony in NYC, so I needed to be formal yet professional, and this dress worked perfectly! It was also sexy enough that I felt beautiful, but not too sexy for a work event. The fabric ensures the dress fits like a glove. I'm 5'9 and opted for the long size since I wore three inch heels, and the long size fit perfectly. I think this dress may run a touch large -- I wore the 48 for this dress, but I definitely wear a 50 in other dresses by this designer. As other reviewers have mentioned, however, due to the unique nature of the fabric, there isn't much difference in sizes. I would say size up if you have a large chest and/or want the dress to be less form fitting. I also opted not to wear undergarments underneath because the fabric is very supportive.

This dress is super flattering and very comfy. It even has pockets! I wore it to a warm weather destination wedding in Palm Springs (I also wore the blue version of this dress to an afternoon garden wedding in Florida), and the color and shape were perfect for that occasion. I received a ton of compliments on the color and fabric of the dress, which are very expensive and rich looking. The vibrancy of the colors is really fun. The dress fits true to size in the bust, and then is super roomy through the thighs, so it would be perfect for pear shapes. I normally stick to more sheath silhouettes, but gave this dress a chance, and I am glad I did!

I usually stick to solids, but the colors in this print were amazing and super flattering. I was also reticent to give a backless dress a shot, but I got tons of compliments! I opted not to wear a bra, given the backless nature of the dress, and the top fit just right without it. Gals with larger busts might have difficulty with the top, however--I'm roughly a 36C. I am also tall and sometimes need a long size, but although the dress was shorter on me than the pictures of the model, I liked that it didn't hit the floor in three inch heels. The pockets also made it super convenient to always have my phone with me for taking pictures during the wedding. This dress was perfect for a warm weather destination wedding! The bottom line is that I loved this dress so much my friends encouraged me to buy it, and I am renting another dress in this style in red for Valentine's Day (see the Monique Lhullier Catya Dress on this site).

I wore this to a professional party that had a '20s optional theme. This dress was a perfect homage to the theme without being costume-y, and I received a ton of compliments all night. I am a large size 12, small size 14 (sometimes in between sizes) and I wore a 14 and it was really comfortable and not too tight, but it was still flattering all over. Also, this dress is not as short as it appears on the model in the picture. I am 5'10 and the regular size hit just above my knee making it appropriate to wear around my co-workers. I was worried the dress would be too short based on the picture, but this was not the case at all!
