This dress was gorgeous! The fit was so flattering and the open back was a fun detail. I'm primarily a size 6 but the 6 in this dress wasn't available; the 8 fit great, so the 6 may have been snug anyway. I'm tall and the dress hit right above my ankle. I wore stick-on petals to account for the backless part. The fitted waist and cut of this dress is so flattering. It was super comfortable and I got so many compliments! Definitely a show-stopping color and was perfect for both a formal fundraiser and a bat mitzvah party. Loved it!

This dress is pure sophistication and elegance, wrapped up in one perfect, non-wrinkling, comfortable, and flattering package. I rented this for a formal dinner during a work incentive trip and it packed perfectly, no wrinkles upon arrival after being packed away during a long flight. Wears like a dream - the draping would be flattering on most any body type (I'm 6 months postpartum and along with my trusty Spanx, made me look like a supermodel) and bonus - you can wear a normal bra! I was a little nervous when the largest size in this dress was a L and at 8 months and triple the bra size as normal, this seemed warranted. But I was pleasantly surprised to find that the dress is super stretchy, even with a zip closure and I was comfortable and able to move easily all night. Rented this dress for a bat mitzvah and needed something that would be comfy and forgiving of an ever-growing 2nd trimester baby bump. My pre-baby size was a 6 or 8, but this pregnancy has tripled the size of my assets, so size 12 was the winner at this point to get it zipped up. This dress is so fun, flowy and super comfortable. I received compliments all night on the style and color - it really pops! Probably could have gone bra-less pre-pregnancy because of the ruffle over the chest, but did need a strapless bra. Love a dress that I don't have to hike up all night and this one stayed where it was supposed to. I'd definitely rent this again and highly recommend to other mamas to be. (This is not a maternity dress, but is a great option for a bump)

I was looking for a dress that would accommodate my ever-growing baby belly and based on other reviews from my fellow mamas-to-be, chose this dress (bonus points for the color, as this was worn to an ovarian cancer fundraiser, whose signature color is teal). I was 18 weeks, but as this is my 2nd my belly is looking more late 2nd trimester than early and I sized up from my normal 6 to a 10, which worked great. I didn't feel constricted and the dress stayed up all night with no tugging. Love the thicker material and the length was perfect. Wore a Belly Bandit Thighs Disguise shaper underneath but could have gotten away with out it. Overall, a beautiful dress!

Rented this dress for a charity gala at our child's school and it was a perfect combination of formal and fun for the carnival-themed event. The cut is super flattering in the waist (especially for those of us with long torsos!) and the off the shoulder design really highlights shoulders and collarbones without being too revealing. As noted by other reviewers, the split skirt is a little dicey when you're seated. I was also able to go sans bra comfortably, as the cut and ruffles do a good job camouflaging that. The only reason I deducted a star was for my sore neck the next day - the tie closure really takes a toll on you if you're wearing this dress for more than a few hours. Otherwise - great, unique dress!

I was in search of a dress for the formal dinner of an award trip for my husband's company and wanted something that traveled well (meaning no risk of needing to experiment with the hotel iron's settings). This dress was great - thicker material that didn't wrinkle, was well-structured, and because of the well-placed ruffle, didn't require wearing a strapless bra. I typically wear a 6 or 8/medium but wore the large because it gave me a little more breathing room. The zipper was a little tricky (i.e. long and requiring assistance), but nothing that would prevent me from recommending it to others. I'm tall and the dress hit me close to tea-length, as an FYI for more average height renters. The color is super flattering and I loved wearing it!

This was a back-up dress RTR sent due to an issue with my original pick. I had chosen it as a back-up, but had I known how fantastic of a dress it was, it would have been my first pick! Love the option of being able to wear it both with the cold shoulder look (I felt so on-trend!) or as a halter (thanks to other reviewers for showing both ways!). It also has a 70s vibe with the ruffled shoulder, but classic with the shape. Bonus points for the structure and placement of the ruffle overlay - I could have worn a strapless bra but didn't feel the need to and was comfortable dancing all night. I usually wear a 6L and the 6L did fit fine, but the 8L gave me a little more room for movement and the buffet. The L length was perfect for me with 2.5 inch heels but it does have a bit of train that I picked up when I was walking and getting in and out of cars. Overall - gorgeous dress, super flattering, and fun to dance in all night.

Loved everything about the fit and structure of this dress. It sits pretty perfectly on the natural waist line to draw attention there, while being flattering and forgiving to all other areas with the A-line plus I was able to wear a regular bra - always a win! I'm 5'9" and the underlay hit me a couple of inches above the knee which was perfect when standing though if you are a Spanx-wearer like me, you may have to hike them up a bit so they don't show while you're seated. Loved the pretty detail of the overlay. Beautiful dress for a semi-formal summer wedding!

The colors of this dress were what caught my eye when I was looking for a dress to wear to a wedding in southern CA and it did not disappoint in person - so vibrant! It was perfect for the occasion (non-black tie) and the fit was perfect, so flattering with the tie waist. This is classic DVF - these dresses are iconic and the wrap style fit perfectly. I had to pull it pretty snug for the dress to lie flat on my chest, but not so tight that it was uncomfortable. I'm 5'9" and this dress hit just below my knees. So light, feels like air. The only downside of the silk is that it's a little susceptible to deodorant stains, though a dry washcloth wiped away most of the residue. A cautionary note that if it's breezy, be prepared to hold the dress down - I almost had a Marilyn Monroe moment!

Took a gamble on this little number, as it had no reviews when I initially rented it. I had a baby 5 months ago and things have settled back in different ways than before, so I rented a size up from my norm and a size up from that as a back up. I'm breastfeeding right now, so I had no idea how the ladies would fit into this dress. The size 8 fit like a dream - the top is so well-structured that while I needed a strapless bra because my boobs have a life of their own right now, I don't know that everyone would. It's maybe the first strapless dress I've ever worn that I didn't feel the need to yank up at all - it stayed put all night. The length is flattering - I'm 5'9" and the dress hit me just a bit shy of tea-length. Wedding guests went out of their way to tell me how gorgeous the dress was and when they found out it was a rental, suggested I buy it! The color really popped - it's a beautiful marigold color and you could really do any color shoe & accessories with it. I had planned on a turquoise heel, but at the last minute remembered that much of the wedding would be on grass, so I opted for the gold shoes because they had a thick heel. The only suggestion I'd make to potential renters is to allow some time to iron or steam - the dress irons great, but did wrinkle fairly easily.

Loved the fit of this dress - especially for hiding a baby bump before we were telling everyone our news! Flattering style (even if you're not hiding a bump and maybe just want to hit the dessert table an extra time) and great fit in the chest. I opted to go without a strapless bra because the fit was snug and structured enough that I felt like everything was going to stay put (I did size up to the 8 from my normal 6, but that probably has more to do with the aforementioned baby bump). Great color for any event - stands out from the crowd (in a good way). Definitely long - I wore 3 inch heels, but I'm 5'9" and often have trouble with longer dresses being long enough to wear heels. With the heels, it was just slightly brushing the ground, but I wasn't stepping on it all night. I'd definitely rent again!

Rented this gown for my brother's wedding and though my first choice size of a ML wasn't available, RTR not only sent me a back-up but then another back-up when I didn't love their choice. All for free! So great. Ended up wearing the LL because I loved the dress and with the drapey style, the fact that it was a little big wasn't super noticeable. I'm 5'9" and wore 3-in heels and did have to pull up the back when I was walking, but just barely. On the model's picture, the dress cuts at the knee, but on me, with the LL, the dress cut mid-calf. Still really flattering, especially how it flows around you as you walk. It was also a windy outdoor wedding and with the way the dress is made, there wasn't major concern for a wardrobe malfunction. Thinking this dress is probably better on a taller person, but so flattering - it would look good on any body type. Loved it!

I browsed several dresses for a black-tie optional event and kept coming back to this one. It looked the most fun and different and it lived up to those expectations! After reading all of the reviews that mentioned that this dress ran small, I ordered up a size for my back-up dress. I'm typically a size 6 off the rack but it seemed like the bodice of the dress ran small (only got about halfway up my back in the 6R), so the reviews were right - I ended up wearing the 8L, I'm 5'9" and generally need longer length, but with the hi-lo styling of this dress, I think most any height would be okay with the regular length. Like the other reviews say about the tulle, give yourself some time to steam. I spent about 20 minutes steaming the layers individually and it looked great. Super comfortable - no tugging up the top or feeling like anything was in danger of falling out. The fit around the bodice is tight - you definitely feel locked and loaded. I received tons of compliments and felt like Carrie Bradshaw minus the Manolo's. Bottom line - phenomenal dress, would have loved to keep it!
