This was such a fun dress! I received so many compliments from so many strangers - such a confidence booster! I felt this was true to size, but I did not notice the skirt being see-through as others commented. The zipper is tough to get over onto the white bodice, but it will eventually go. I'm 5'10" and the regular was floor length for me in flats.

Absolutely in love with this dress! I've never received so many compliments from strangers! This one is an attention grabber, so be ready to have all eyes on you! No complaints with the fit, but don't expect this one to stretch. It's very fitted throughout and the fabric lays well and looks slimming, even with the peplum detail. Sad I have to return it, but I'd love to rent it again!

I wish I would have been able to wear this one, but it wasn't returned in time for my event and RTR came to the rescue and let me rent something else regardless of price. Great customer service! I'll be keeping my eye on this one to rent in the future.

I thought this dress was going to be my backup, but it ended up being the one for my gala event. It's seriously perfect! After it arrived, I spent the entire afternoon trying to find if any retailer still carried the dress because I wanted to purchase it, but alas, I was out of luck! That's how much I loved this dress! I'm 5'10" and was worried the long length wouldn't be long enough with my 4" heels, but it was perfect as it just barely grazed the floor. It's as if it were hemmed for me! I could see if being tight in the chest if you have a larger bust (I'm between a C and a B cup), but I didn't have to wear a bra - it fit like a glove and kept the girls in place. In my experience, Halston's are typically tighter in the chest area than the rest of the body so keep that in mind as you pick your sizes. Since the dress is so simply and classy, I kept my accessories to a minimum and styled it with black dangly earrings, a cocktail ring, leopard print Donald J. Pliner sandals, a black pashmina for warmth (just in case) and a red Zac Posen clutch. Fabulous dress and I hope to rent it again! Or better yet, buy it!

I had every intention of wearing this dress and it was my first pick, but the XL ended up being too short! I am 5'10" and was going to wear 4" heels and had taken the time to put on my shoes and have my husband measure me from shoulder to floor. My measurements said I was 63" from shoulder to floor, which is exactly what the specs said for the dress. However, once it arrived, it was about 3-4 inches too short and I had to wear one of my other RTR backups for my gala. I almost wonder if maybe I wasn't sent the XL length to begin with because it really wasn't even close to what it was supposed to be. So tall gals, beware. In other details, the dress is gorgeous! I was worried about the quality of the dress since sequins are always so delicate and this seems to be a popular RTR pick, but rest assured it looks great and you no one would know the difference. I don't have a picture of me in this dress since I didn't end up wearing it for my event, but it looked great on me! I have fair to medium skin and dark hair. The dress does have a little bit of stretch in the bust and I would have been able to wear a normal bra. If you're thinking this might be for you, I'd suggest getting a size down from your normal as a backup!
