Great fit but the material wasn't for me.
This dress is well made and the fit is quite flattering. However, I did not end up wearing this dress to my event. This dress consists of two layers, and I felt that the top layer material was too 'matronly'- even for my age (I'm 43). The only description that comes to mind is... stiff doilies from grandma's living room? I wanted to love it but just didn't.

Perfect dress for any event! Classy, original, and very flattering!
I wore this dress to the Opera with friends and would recommend it to everyone for any occasion. The fit was perfect- true to size, fit like a glove, and had room to breath. It was edgy and classy all at the same time and I loved it (so did my friends!). I wish I took better photos to highlight the draping of the dress for this review, but trust me when I say this dress is worth 5 stars.

Very pretty but VERY short & tight in the arms and shoulders. Prepare to ORDER UP in size.
My friend Jen and I rented these because we were bridesmaids for a small backyard wedding and the bride requested we wear short dresses of purple lace. These dresses fit the bill, were very pretty, and we got a lot of compliments on them. We also heard, "Those are short!" a lot. LOL. The color is lovely, they photographed beautifully, but most importantly the bride was pleased as punch with them and so we were happy we rented them. However, they run VERY small and VERY short, so keep this in mind when deciding on them for an event. They were so short in fact, that we were unable to lift our arms in the air or bend over (seriously) and were our event one with dancing or much physical activity involved, we would have been in real trouble. I bent over to pick up a chair at one point and gave the photographer a nice, generous, full on panty shot- just so you have an idea of where I am coming from. Also, the arms and shoulders of this dress are so small and tight that Jen and I had a hard time putting our arms straight out. We are different body types (I'm an apple and she is an hour glass) but we both generally wear a 4. Jen wore a 6 and although I could get into the 6, I wore an 8 for the extra room. Order a size OR TWO up, just to be safe.

GORGEOUS.
I rented this for a Christmas party that I never made it to- hence no photo. It is SUCH a gorgeous dress however, that I wore it wine tasting the next day with a pair of high books and a sweater (even though it was a bit formal for the occasion I was able to dress it down just enough not to look over dressed) simply because I could not BEAR for it to go back in the box without being admired! I got a ton of compliments from friends and strangers and felt fantastic in it. If you have any reservations about ordering this, please don't. It is stunning and I will most assuredly rent this one again.

Va Va Voom!
This dress is beautiful. The color is stunning and is a real head turner. I wore this to a Persian birthday party bash (which are extremely lavish and impressive) and felt great in it. If you don't get the importance of looking good when invited to an event like this, please ask a Persian friend. ;) This dress runs a little small and so I ordered up a size, which was the way to go. It is a bit short, but I still danced in it without any issue and felt very comfortable the entire evening. I did not get a great photo to share (sorry!) but I wanted to show that in the evening & outdoors you can see the sparkle and color well. Even the mermaid (yes... there was a mermaid there) I took this photo with complimented me on the dress!

This dress is a knock out, but unfortunately it runs super small and short.
I am only 5'6", run anywhere from 127- 130 lbs, and typically wear a size 4. Right now I am probably about 132 lbs since I let Christmas get the better of me, which to be fair, may very well bump me up to a size 6. I'm also an apple shape so that never helps. LOL. That being said, even the medium (which I believe is supposed to be a size 6-8?) did not fit me. It just felt tight everywhere, and it was pretty short as well. Too bad because I really dug this dress and would have loved to wear it. Wish I would have gotten a large but I did not think it would be necessary.
