Comfortable AND stunning!
This would not have been my first choice, but I decided too late to rent for this "black tie optional" wedding, and I kept coming back to this one because of the little details that made it different from your normal LBD - the asymmetrical hem, and, OMG, the back! It is true that it makes it difficult to wear a bra (I wore a Brazee that I got from RTR a while ago), because not only is the black sheer, but it really does start toward the side. I normally wear more form fitting dresses (sheaths), so to have such a flowy dress was different for me, and I liked it. I felt completely comfortable all night long. The dress is LONG, though. At 5'7 in 3.5-inch heels, the 4R was manageable. When I switched to my flats for walking back to the car at the end of the night, the dress would have dragged had I not carried it like a train. The 4R was the only size available, but I think I could have easily fit into a 2, and the tightness in the chest might have made me able to go bra-free.

Bummer...
After wearing size 2s in my first two rentals (different designers), and after reading the reviews for this dress, I opted for the 2 and 4 instead of the 4 and 6. Mistake. The 4 technically fit, but was too tight in the hips to be comfortable, especially at a party with dancing. I also found this much more low cut than it looked on the model, and you could see the tops of all my bras. I suspect getting the 6 might have fit a bit better in the hips but been a bit too big on the top - and since I am a D cup, that's saying something.

Someone said there was no way I was the groom's former teacher because I looked too young!
Love the color and the fit. EXTREMELY comfortable dress. My only complaint is that the dress is much shorter than I am used to. I thought since the model was taller than me, the dress wouldn't seem as short. It did. I could have been okay with this had the dress stayed that length, but when I walked, it felt like it rode up a bit (the picture shows the length after I had walked a bit and did not pull it down). By the end of the night, once I was confident I wasn't going to be giving anyone a free show, I embraced it and was fine, but I think I learned that mid-thigh or mini lengths are definitely not for me!

Had a great dress...and then a great doctoral robe over it!
I really liked this dress. Patterns and bright colors are not typically my thing, so I felt a bit like a neon sign at first (totally my issue - not the dress!), but once people started telling me how much they loved it, I relaxed. I DID use tape to secure the dress to have a higher neckline than it would have been otherwise, and I am not sure how the model in the picture could have that neckline without tape - the dress would have hung down too low for my liking.
