Finally had my American Girl doll moment
LOVED this dress. If it were a bajillion dollars, I'd have kept it. I always wanted to wear the American Girl doll Felicity's dress, and this is like that meets Elizabeth Bennett. Husband did not understand any of my references or attraction to this piece, but I adored it.

Great little dress. Holds in place better than other similarly shaped, low cut dresses I've rented. I got several compliments from both old and young, and the empire waist made it very comfortable!

Only for the flat chested!
The dress is really beautiful, but it didn't work for my event. The way the chest is constructed makes it very difficult to adjust if it doesn't fit you properly, and otherwise it's going to gap. As others with photos show, it's possible to wear something that fills this space or let it show. I would usually not mind something low cut, but it didn't seem like it would stay in place, it sort of flopped open, but wasn't covering at the same time. It's really pretty, but just caveat emptor!

Beautifully made, unusual dress
Lots of compliments, worked perfectly for the Halloween murder mystery party I rented it for. I took one star off because there's quite a bit of boning in the sides, which is great for not needing foundation garments, but started to dig into the curve of my waist as the night went on. Due to the nature of the party, I spent most of it standing, so that might have been more apparent/worse if I'd been attending an event where I had to sit down more. Otherwise it was very well made, the materials were lovely, and I really enjoyed wearing something so fanciful!

I loved this dress! It was so pretty and I got a ton of compliments. TTS with a little stretch.
I looooved this dress. The material was so beautiful in person, and the illusion neckline was so feminine. I found it fit fairly TTS with just a smidge of stretch for comfortable movement. I wore it for the ceremony and when I went to change, my girlfriend stopped me for this picture saying it was a shame to "waste" it when I looked so cute! Very comfortable and flattering fit.

This fit me almost exactly like it did the model in the photo (plus or minus the 8 or so sizes up I am from her). It hung beautifully, and I got a ton of compliments. It was the perfect, sparkly party dress for a super fun wedding reception at an awesome old bar in Philadelphia. I did wear a different dress for the ceremony, but mainly because I rented both and wanted to get to wear them both! If I had a completely separate group of friends whose wedding I could wear this to, I'd absolutely rent it again!

A million and one compliments
This dress is GORGEOUS in person; the fabric is absolutely delicious. I'm a fairly true hourglass (41-34-47) and this fit almost perfectly. The rib cage was very comfortable and the empire waist made eating + drinking all night at a Napa garden wedding easy. It looks shorter on the model than it was on me; it came to just a couple inches above my knees. I wouldn't recommend bending at the waist, but I felt comfortable dancing all night. I got SO.MANY compliments. Like constantly. The one thing I experienced was it felt a bit like the dress was wearing me instead of the other way around, because it was all, "THAT DRESS IS AMAZING!", not "you look amazing!" But I'll take what I can get ;) The one slight issue was the chest. Because of the deep v in front AND back, there's nothing there to hold the dress to you. Especially if you're small chested (which I didn't think I was at a true, proper bra-fitting experience 34DDD—but people think a D is huge, and it's not necessarily), this would not be a good dress for you. As it was, I was right on the cusp and needed A LOT of double sided tape, which I also carried with me all night. I'd recommend just taping over the entirety of each breast and then pressing the dress against it, because I experienced that the looseness of the front and back meant it was really hard to predict how the dress would shift. Covering my whole chest (except the exposed part in the V, of course) meant at least something was holding onto the dress the whole time.

Mystery bling surprise indeed
I got this as my "mystery bling". It went great with the Marchesa Notte Metallic Floral Cocktail dress, but just wasn't what I expected when I ordered "bling". It's a pretty, understated purse and the brushed gold hardware is beautiful. It was a little tight; I was carrying double sided tape + some touchup essentials (concealer, lipstick), so my iPhone 6S+ didn't fit. I had to carry my phone/beg my husband to hold onto it, so just a warning that if you're not a light packer, this might not be the one for you.

So many compliments!
This dress was really beautiful! The color is stunning in person and in photos. My husband complimented the way it swept behind me as I walked and my nieces thought I looked like a princess. Even the bride demented to know where I was "shopping". I felt great all night and would definitely recommend this dress to anyone curvy/hourglass shaped (I'm 41, 35, 45). I contacted the RTR team via email before ordering after ordering a different size in March that didn't fit and they suggested getting a 14 with a 16 as the backup. The 14 fit but the 16 gave me a little extra wiggle room.
