These were everything I wanted to punch up the LBD I wore to my holiday party. They're large but incredibly lightweight. I got a million compliments. Deducted a star because one arrived with a bent post, and I had to reattach the bottom disc to one! Luckily it all worked and they looked gorgeous all night.

Minimalist statement

Highlight your hourglass!
Wore for a huge office holiday party. Simultaneously super sexy and chic. The substantial knit fabric has stretch but hugs you; it is TIGHT. Stretched a little as the night wore on. My back-up was a L, but was too long for my frame and wouldn't have hugged my curves properly. Regular bra and Spanx-friendly. I loved everything about this dress.

A Stunning Head-Turner
This dress is utterly exquisite, and a definite attention-getter. The number of compliments I got in about 10 minutes was bonkers. I can't emphasize how perfectly it fit me; it nips in a bit at the waist so the shape is incredibly flattering. It's weighty; I had to tug the shoulder up a few times to ensure it was in the right place. The lining is opaque, and I appreciated that I could wear a one-strap bra, a slip, and normal (sleek) underwear. No Spanx necessary. Some of the beading has come off and looks a bit shabby, which is why I can't give it five stars. It's too bad that's happened; a dress this amazing should be given the utmost care when cleaning/handling.

Such a Cool Necklace
I rented this to wear backwards with a V-back Missoni (sorry for the blurry pic but wanted to show length/scale). It was the ideal finishing touch for that dress, and it definitely caught people's eye. It wasn't too heavy so wearing it that way never bothered me. Would rent again in a heartbeat; it's gorgeous.

Unbelievably Chic
I now understand why people pay huge money for Missoni. The wool of this dress is beyond exquisite, and the knit is unlike any other I've seen. It had zero abrasion. I didn't ever want to take it off. I thought it fit true to size, it worked perfectly for my event (annual advertising awards), and I got tons of compliments. I wore the Caged Cone Pendant by Sarah Magid backwards to draw attention to the V-back; it worked perfectly because the turtleneck hid the clasp. I included the second pic to show how low the arm holes are cut. Although it's wool, the knit is very light, and I couldn't go braless (I wore a black lace bandeau tube bra). I'd love to try it again with a NuBra. If you're considering this dress, rent. It's insanely chic.

I wore these with the DVF Pauletta dress for a formal party. They provide a lot of length in a minimal profile. They would've looked fabulous with an updo, but I wore with hair down for a more relaxed look. For the rental price, they can't be beat.

Perfect Formal Party Dress
This dress is now tied with another DVF as my all-time favorite rental. Once the sequins are laying flat (this will take you a while but it's *worth it*), it looks unbelievably sleek. I've never gotten so many compliments; some dude told me it was "working," if that does anything for you. I can't lie; it did for me. I'm always a 6 or 8 and could've worn the 4, but it felt tight in my shoulders, the sequins looked shabby (no longer all black due to cleaning), and I wanted it to be a little loose for dancing. The 6 was longer than I'd liked, though. I paired it with the Ettika Onyx Long Drop Earrings and minimal nude heeled sandals. I felt seriously sexy without really trying at all. DVF, how I love you. Perfect winter rental!

Sexy & Sweet
For my birthday dinner with friends, I wanted to feel sexy, fun, and relaxed. This absolutely fit the bill. It's very likely the easiest romper to wear in the known universe and I just adored it. I love that you can adjust the ties to change up the neckline, plus, it truly works on or off the shoulder. It's soft, comfortable, and really shows off your legs. My backup was a size L, which I actually wore to work the next day (things are pretty casual in Seattle). The longer inseam made me comfortable with it; I wouldn't have worn the M to the office.

Lace Made Fun
This dress was a great pick for a summer wedding and reception where it was likely to be hot (Chicago) and we were going to dance all night. The orange is two-tone and bright; I love how it takes any preciousness out of the lace. The lining is substantial; you don't even need a slip. The waist fit perfectly and the length was great, but the bust ran large, which is unusual for me. I was hoping for it to be a very fitted bodice so I could get away without a bra. Adjustable straps would've been ideal. I wore it with turquoise/gold jewelry for contrast and got lots of compliments. It's probably the most comfortable dress I've ever worn to a wedding, and so kicky and fun.

Perfect for an Evening Reception
This dress is incredibly chic, and I pretty much felt like the baddest gal in the room in it. The fabric is substantial and the shape and length are flattering. My bust is too big to go unsupported, and I was able to wear a strapless bra. The sides of the bodice are narrow, though, and I had to check to make sure the bra wasn't peeking out for the majority of the evening. Size up for backup: the 8 fit me beautifully, and the 6 was a sausage casing. This one is best for an evening you're feeling lean & mean (which I wasn't, so I did a lot of standing that night). Frustratingly, the straps on mine were pale pink; I'm guessing there'd been a dye-bleed snafu at some point. They look better in the original ivory, but no one was the wiser. I won't hesitate to rent another Elizabeth & James dress.

Very cool, very blingy!
This bangle stack was my Mystery Bling. I was impressed; I'd asked that the stylists try to match up my Bling to more dresses than not as best they could (they sent me three because of a damaged original order), and it matched two of them gorgeously! I ended up wearing them with the BCBG Inga Maxi I originally ordered, but I removed the biggest ones from the stack so they looked a little more delicate. They look more expensive than they are. Believe it: they are SMALL. They're inexpensive metal, so if you must, you can actually manipulate them to get around your hand. But I had to wear them on my left as my right hand is a little bigger. Getting them on and off wasn't a fun experience... and I don't have huge hands.

If sparkling rosé were a dress...
This dress was one of two backups sent to me to replace a damaged original order. I did not end up wearing it, as it would've been a bit too formal for a Washington wedding in the woods. But if it's available for a friend's upcoming wedding in a Chicago mansion, I'm renting it! The gold dot-and-line detail of the fabric is fun and just the right amount of vintage-inspired. I think the pinky-peach would look stunning on most skin tones. The gathering gives the silk great drape, and the defined waistline is very, very slimming. The back center panel is part power mesh, so it creates a bit of stretch. The back mesh is also a little translucent, so it showed my tattoo (if you looked hard enough). That means it could also show part of a strapless bra. It's definitely ideal if you can go without. The center fabric overlay at the bust does bunch strangely if it starts to sag. If you have an exactly-right torso length for it (edging toward long), I think this dress is perfect. For short-torsoed gals, maybe not as much. It also has satin spaghetti straps that tuck in, so if you are strapless-averse, this may be an option! I had a hard time zipping it up once the zipper got to the stretch panel, but if you have reliable help, this is probably not an issue. I have a sizable bust but a small rib cage, and it fit the diameter of my torso perfectly. It was very long, and would've required a heel of at least 3". But it's such a glamour-girl dress, it wants a heel! I hope I get to wear this one for a future event.

Beautifully unique! I'm in love.
This one of two backup dresses sent to me in place of a damaged original order. I had a truly difficult time choosing, because I fell so in love with this maxi. The matte silk is substantial and exquisite. The colors are nothing short of fabulous. It's exceedingly comfortable without being dumpy or blah. If the wedding I was attending was on a beach? Jackpot! I was sent the 8R, and believe the 6R would've fit me a little better. The top of the bodice did sag just a little, but mostly just looked relaxed, and not ill-fitting. If I'd worn it, I would've belted it as shown. But if you want to wear something with remarkable style that doesn't squeeze your mid-section, this is for you. The length of the 8R would've worked fine with any not-totally-flat shoe; I think if I'd wanted to pair a heel over 2.5" with it, it may have started skirting too-short territory. I can't emphasize how much I loved, loved LOVE this dress. RTR, put it on sale! I've got dibs. ;)

Stunning, unique pattern and flattering fit. Perfect for an evening summer wedding.
I rented this for an evening wedding. The colors are stunning and lend themselves to seemingly endless accessory options. The dress was Regular length but only skimmed the tops of my feet; there was a repair stitch at the hem, and I speculate that it may have been damaged and re-hemmed at some point. I wore a shoe with a 2" heel and it did not touch the ground. (I was also on moss and dirt in WA and couldn't wear a traditional heel, so it was perfect!) I originally planned on wearing the 6R but was told it was unavailable (I'm guessing damage, again). The 8R worked perfectly with my waist and hips, but was about an inch or two too big around my bust. I wore a strapless bra beneath it, which filled it out a bit (the dress has a bra keeper tab in the back -- helpful!). The straps are no problem if you adjust them properly; there is a hidden spaghetti strap beneath the one that goes over your shoulder. However, if you make it too tight, the "decorative" shoulder strap will bulge in the back. But you can find a happy medium. I believe the 6 would've fit me perfectly at the bust, but would've been less comfy around the waist. The dress is very sufficiently lined, but I did feel some boning poking me in the waist, probably due to being in circulation for a while. I got many, many compliments and felt absolutely beautiful in it. Glad I got a chance to wear such a unique design!
