So this is a little outside of what I would typically order as my *perfect silhouette*, but I weirdly loved it. Material was a thick stretchy something that gave you a nice shape without causing awkward bumps and bulges (would probably look even better on someone curvier), and color was a little darker and very unique... not bland at all like I kind of expected. Per other reviews, definitely size up one size, and plan on wearing a no-show thong or something along those lines. Also I struggled with shoes... I was planning on wearing black heels and they looked terribleeeee, and my metallic ones didn't look great either... i would probably recommend nude or tan

So I wanted to *LOVE* this dress, but I didn't (I really liked it, definitely! but didn't love love love)... 1) def size up. I usually wear a 6 and I ordered an 8 (per reviews) and it was perfect. 2) i was a little worried i'd feel uncomfortable with the torso cutout, and I did. It also wasn't super-flattering unless you kept it closed up so you only saw a peak of skin vs a gap of your rib cage - not my thinnest part of my body. 3) i expected the material to be somewhere between a jersey and spandex material? instead it was like a cotton-y thick brocade almost - which ended up being great for winter b/c it was chilly, and great to suck everything in, but just not what i expected. 4) I didn't mind the thigh slit / it was def what made the dress most *wow* to me, but def keep an eye on it when sitting ;) overall i'm happy i rented - if i had another occasion where i wanted to look classy but sexy i would probably rent again

The medium was so short I couldn't even pull down over my butt. Bummer bc the dress looked super cool, unfortunately fit me more like a long-sleeve shirt!

i just love this dress. first of all i got the "6L" which i'm 90% sure is the same as the actual 6 b/c DVF does not do tall sizing. at 5'10" the dress was to the ground with flats, which is a fun experience I rarely get. i'm definitely going to buy this dress... i was sick all weekend and it was a great one to just throw on and relax in (like wearing a loose baggy sheet) without having to try, and the fabric is a gorgeous silk. I wore it to both an outdoor rehearsal dinner and country club wedding (different weddings!) when you look closely the dress is slightly sheer on, but in photos that did not appear the case. i would wear nude underthings. also unlike the other reviewers i almost wish i had sized up to an 8.. the banding around the top of the chest was quite tight resulting in a bit of upper pec/weird underarm flab (don't know how to describe that area of the body). anyways the fit around the body is going to be very loose no matter what size you do, so it's no use sizing down (in my eyes). highly recommend if you want to be summery, comfortable, but still dressy :)

i rented this for my husband's brother's wedding (somewhat formal) and the dress was PERFECT for the occasion. the fabric is like a silk-linen which makes it very summery, but still formal. based on reviews i thought i needed to size down to a 4L, but luckily only the 6L was available b/c i never would have fit in the smaller size. the only downside with this dress was that the high-waist seam around my rib cage got progressively tighter the more i ate and drank which started to get pretty uncomfortable as the night went on, but that's also probably what made this dress so flattering to begin with. Fit like a glove, i'm pretty narrow thru hips/athletic, so if you are my size with curves i would size up as it did pull around my hips a bit. all-in-all now trying to figure out where i can buy the darn thing!

I guess I liked it... i thought i would LOVE it, but i kind of felt 'eh' in it... like a linebacker... the shoulder/arm cut made me feel really broad which was why i was vexed by it, but it photographed great for the occasion! i wore it to a bachelorette party and i can't complain too much. in terms of sizing...i'm 5'10" i thought i would need the large based on reviews, but the medium was actually weirdly more flattering although very short. i was about 90% convinced that both sizes would be too short for me, so i was glad i could get away with them. all in all it worked out...i probably wouldn't rent again, but for a bachelorette party i am all in all content that it worked out the way it did.
