I wore this to a work awards dinner. It was the first of this type I've been invited to and the attire was "cocktail." I was afraid I would be overdressed with the sequins, so I went for a bit more casual look, pairing with tights, booties and a leather jacket. The dress itself ran fairly true to size. I ordered a size up (12) as my backup. I truly wanted a shift dress, and while this is one, it's very stretchy and can cling to areas I tried to conceal. Overall, I really liked this dress, I just would have preferred if it was a bit more structured. I'm 5'7" and the dress hit me at the knee. With the tights and booties I wanted to shorter version so I used bobby pins to fold the hem of the dress up a few inches. It was great because I didn't have to poke holes/use tape on the dress, and the bobby pins were well concealed by the sequins.

I typically wear a size 8 dress, so I ordered size 8 & 10 as my backup. The 8 was a bit tight around the rib cage, but fit me much better overall than the 10. I'm fairly small-chested, and got away without a bra and with no fashion tape. If I had gone with the 10 I definitely would have used the tape to make sure there were no mishaps with the top being a bit large for me. It's wonderful how forgiving the skirt of the dress is - no need to be cautious or worried about how I looked a great dinner! Pockets in the dress were also a huge plus for lip gloss & phone.

I knew I wanted this dress for the black tie charity event I was a part of from the instant I saw it... However, my ideal sizes weren't available (6L & 8L). I ordered another dress in two sizes, and this was my second rental for $25. I ordered the 6R. I was THRILLED when I was able to try the dress on; it fit like a glove. In a perfect world I probably would have worn the 6L, but this dress was by no means too short. I ended up finding navy blue sequined peep-toe heels that looked like they were made to go with this dress. I had so many compliments; and I'm still receiving them. I was sad to have to send it back! I was a bit worried about the top being revealing. I wear a 34/36 B, and I had absolutely no worries about "falling out" once the dress was on. RTR even sent fashion tape just to ensure there wouldn't be any wardrobe malfunctions.
