Large up top, tight in hips.
I rented this dress for a black tie optional. Beautiful design and material but I had to order three sizes to find the right fit and even then, it was meh. Tan super tight in the hips/butt and bunched/gapped in my waist and bust. Loved the belt detail and received many compliments but didn’t feel confident in it.

Great wrap dress but does run large. It’s not a traditional wrap dress (it’s not totally open like a robe when untied) so I ended up wrapping the strings around myself and making a bow at the waist. The neckline does dip/shift a little low but nothing a safety pin wouldn’t fix.

After reading the reviews, I decided to still get my regular size and a size up (2 & 3.) Both fit due to the stretch back panel but the 2 was not flattering since it kept riding up on my waist so I wore 3 which was still very tight. I almost think that had I ordered the 4 it would still be too tight. I'm 5'8" and wore four inch heels with this skirt and i was still catching the longer hem pieces under my feet. I received many compliments on it and loved it but those were the main issues.

I've rented from the Slate and Willow line before and ordered my usual S with a M as backup. I tried the S on and could zip it up to my mid back but not across my bust line. So I tried on the M; same issue but after much huffing and puffing (and putting on a size too small bra) I was able to get it up. It's a darling dress, perfect for the garden themed couples shower I went to but was surprised at the sizing.

After reading the reviews, I decided to go with my usual 6 but also get a 4 as my back up. The 6 fit in the hips but ran large in the top. I tried the 6 on for measure and it fit perfectly in the top and still fit in the hips but I went with the 6 since I was wearing this for a bridal shoer. Definitely size down for your backup size. I wore a strapless bra for this neckline and it looked great!

Great Movement Pants
I rented this for a dinner party. Loved them but my only qualms were that the MR came up almost under my breasts (I'm 5'8"!), they gapped in the back a bit and the hem kept getting caught on my heels so be careful when you are walking. I wore it with a tucked in black boat neck top and ankle strap open toe heels. So chic!

I wore this to my birthday dinner with my boyfriend. I wore the 6 since I was wearing high waisted jeans but had I worn regular rise pants, I would have opted for the 8 because of length. Fit great in the bust and arm. Such a fun ruffled top that everyone complimented me on. I ADORED the ruffle at the wrist; so elegant and feminine. Great for in-between seasons too!

WONDERFUL flirty, midi skirt
5'8, 140 lbs, usually a 6/8 I rented this for an anniversary dinner and absolutely loved it! I'm not one to wear midi skirts but how flowy and the length at which it hits is so flattering. One thing I did not know is that this is a true wrap skirt meaning it looks like an oversized apron when it is unwrapped. I didn't think about this whenI ordered it (DUH) but I googled how to tie one and a million videos came up. It does have a slit in the right side of the waistband that you thread the longer "string" through and wrap it around your waist and tie at the side. There are also thread belt loops on the back of the skirt and on the left side too hold the "strings" in place. I did not find those until I used the ladies room later in the night. Be careful to mind the front of the skirt because if there is a breeze, you maybe reveal your Spnax like I did lol. One of my favorite rentals by far!

The choker does run large as others have said but I pulled it back and hid it with my long hair. A safety pin would do the job too. Wore it with black skinny jeans and wedges and was perfect!

Trendy Twist on a Black Pencil Skirt
I absolutely loved this skirt. The leather is so buttery soft and the hem of it is a clean, raw cut, which I think makes it much classier and sleek. It fit perfectly on my hips and but but gapped a little in the waist (but I do have a small waist for the size of my hips/butt.) . The metal detail is silver but I wore gold jewelry with it and didn't think it clashed. So sad to give it back!

Fun, casual dress but its RUNS SMALL
I rented this for an outdoor, casual wedding reception. I absolutely loved it for the occasion; ligthweight, sublte LBD with interesting details but it does run small through the hips and wrinkleslike crazy. It was odd- it fit perfectly in the chest and stomach but it got very narrow in the hips. I rented the 6 and 8 and wore the 8 but I would rather had the 10 rather than the 6. I wore it with a sticky bra and breast lift tape combo and it did the job. Really loved this dress even though it ran small. Do yourself a favor and size up!!

Simple, yet sexy dress.
I really loved this sexy and versatile dress. I wore it for a NYE party with a leather jacket and it was edgy enough to keep the coat on (it was cold) and still see the mesh details in the skirt and around the middle. It does have a lot of stretch in it, so I would size down for the backup dress. I'm 5'8", 145 lbs. and wore 4 inch heels with the size small and it hit at a good length, maybe 3-4 inches above my knee. I could have worn the medium but it wasn't as tight in the bust as I wanted. Excellent dress that you could wear out to a number of occasions.

Sparkly dress for bachelorette party!
Such a fun dress for my friend's bachelorette party. It does run very short so make sure you wear the appropriate undergarments. I wore tights over Spanx shorts and good thing because if I was to bend over, I could have pulled a Lindsay Lohan. The material is a good thickness; not too thin, not too thick but the slip kept riding up so I had to straighten out the dress whenever I stood up. The sequins did catch in each other but not as much as other renters said. I wore this dress for 7-8 hours and it only happened a fee times. Not enough for me to complain about it. This dress definitely fit the bachelorette party occasion.

Fun dress but the straps didn't cut it
I rented this dress for a wedding and upon opening the box, I was so excited to wear it. The material is a trench coat material that makes a "swishing" sound if you ruffle it but walking around in it its not noticeable. The print on the dress is beautiful; its like hand painted black and white roses. I wanted to wear this dress so bad but when I put it on, the straps were WAY too big. Like two inches-straps wouldn't stay on my shoulders-too big. I tried to alter it with a few push pins but there was so much excess fabric it bulked up the back of the dress and wouldn't work. I ended up wearing a dress I already had. I'm so sad this dress didn't work.

Nice dress but not for me
I rented this for NYE '13 and was so excited to get it but when I tried it on, it was nothing like the picture. The cut of the dress is definitely a shift dress (straight and loose through the middle) and not taken in at the middle like it looks on the model. I rented a 12 and it was way too loose in the bust and shoulder. I tried to make it work with a belt and fashion but to no avail. I have an hourglass shape and while I loved the look of the dress, it gave me no shape.

Classy dress with fun details
I rented this to wear to a party and loved everything about it except the zipper bunched right above the small of my back and I ended up not wearing it because of the side profile it gave me. The material is very nice and thick and almost has a Spanx effect. The gold zippers give a little bit of shine and the black detail down the middle gives a narrowing look to your waist.

A twist on a LBD
I wore this to an engagement party for a wedding party my boyfriend is in and I absolutely LOVED this dress! The dress was so flattering on my shape and even though the material would catch on my Spanx, the material really smoothed put any other "bumps" I had. The piping around the neck and arms gave some more texture to the dress and the gold zipper added a fun, glitzy detail (There is material under the zipper so you can wear it unzipped a little bit if you want any extra room at the hem.) My only issue with the dress was that the neck was a little large in that it gapped towards the back but if wear your hair down you can't notice it. I was so sad to send this dress back.

Definitely renting this again!
I rented this for an engagement party and after much thought, I went with another I ordered. My problem with peplums is I find that the legnth of the dress and the fullness of the peplum don't balance out making me look "squat"/much more wider in the hips, but this dress doesn't cause that problem. It nipped in my waist perfectly and the pleats in the peplum helped it fall and flatter my hips. If I had another event to go to the weekend I rented this, i would have worn it!

A perfect summer dress!
This wasn't a dress I would usually wear but I am so happy I did! I wore it to my boyfriend's birthday dinner and to a baby shower and received so many compliments. I wore an 8 but could have easily worn a 6 because the arm holes dip very low and revealed my bra but I worked it out with some fashion tape. It was such a light and cool dress and there was no need for Spanx! I wore it with flats but even with heels it would be an appropriate length. Absolutely loved this dress!!

I rented this for a girls' night out/baby shower but loved it so much I wore it two more times that weekend ( I REALLY loved it.) I rented the MR and the ML and ended up wearing the ML; the R was a hair too short and the L was a tad too long but I made it work with some wedges. The bust of the dress was a little big but RTR provided fashion tape and that fixed it from falling down too far in the front. I loved the summer goodies they threw in with my rental- they made for a fun surprise. This will definitely be a dress I will rent again!

Nice dress, just not for me
I rented this dress in a 10 &12. The 10 fit perfect throughout the whole dress but it was short, and I mean SHORT. I tried on the 12 and the 12 proved to be way too boxy all over. I paired the 10 with opaque tights and even with the tights, it wasn't working. I should mention that I have a "bubble butt" but the difference in the two sizes didn't make for a comfortable or flattering fit. The fabrc of the dress tends to ride up which also didn't help the fit.

Not like the picture
This was my inital rental and when I got it, I coudn't believe they didn't show/tell that the sides were open all the way down to the waist! I thought this was going to be a nice, V-neck dress but it shows waaaay more skin than in the picture. I'm a 34D and coudn't go without a bra and didn't want to wear a bra and have it show. Luckily I LOVED my back up dress but be warned of this dress if you 1.) must wear a bra & 2.) renting for a conservative affair.

Compliments all night!
I had been eyeing this dress for a while and finally had a wedding where I got to wear it!!! My boyfriend was in the wedding party and kept his eyes on me the whole ceremony and couldn't keep his hands off me at the reception! This is definitely a great option for a summer wedding since it's very light but also covers your arms if you haven't kept up on your bikini workouts ;) I wore a 10 and it fit perfectly all over except it was a little on the short side (my Spanx just barely stopped above the hem.) The 12 I got as a backup size was more my length but it was HUGE everywhere else...you win some, you lose some. I definitely recommend this dress to all shapes and sizes.

So many compliments!
This came as my second dress option and I picked a winner! I wasn't thrilled with it at first; I thought it was going to be a thicker material and would include a zipper but after putting it on with myheels and a high sock bun, it was HOT! I wore it for a bachelorette party and I recieved compliments from my friends and from lots of people while we were out. I thought it was a little snug from my waist down and a little loose on the top but Spanx and a pushup bra fixed those issues. The neckline is made of a sheer fabric so it does take a little styling during the night to keep it the way you want but other than that, it proved to be a great pick for a girls night out. I would definitely rent this again!
