The v neck is deep!
This was a very pretty dress but the V-neck — as other reviewers have noted—was just too deep for me. I think with the right undergarments I could have made it work, maybe, but I ended up wearing the other dress I’d ordered.

Pretty dress but a bit too subdued
So this was my backup dress for a black tie optional holiday party and I ended up going with a red sequin dress instead. This dress was nice but once I put it on it just wasn’t quite “fun” enough. I was worried the neckline would be too low but with my plunge bra it was fine. I would have liked the skirt to be maybe a bit fuller to bring more drama. I probably could have made this work with a stronger accessories game, but I’m not super-good at that! Sorry I didn’t take a picture since I decided not to wear it!

Super-flattering sparkly fun
I could have worn the 8 or the 6, honestly, because the fabric is pretty forgiving, but the 6 looked a bit sleeker. The neckline was tough for the bra so I got the stick-on Rabbit Bra and it worked PERFECTLY for the dress and stayed put all night. I got tons of compliments on the dress and the red color was perfect for a holiday vibe. I looked at other reviews for sequined dresses on RTR and there were a few that mentioned that the sequins chafed under the arms — I did not have that problem with this dress.

Love the hi-low hem
It’s a little snug but I ordered the M and the L and the M looked much more flattering once I managed to zip it up. Others have complained about the itchy fabric and it was, but not unbearable! I loved the cap sleeves. The neckline. And the asymmetrical hem—so sophisticated and modern.

The dress was perfect -- very flattering fit and the slit made it sexy but in a classy way.
I tried on an 8L at the NYC showroom but my stylist suggested getting the 6L as a back-up as she thought it looked a little big. I thought it fit fine, but when I got both the 6L and the 8L I agreed that the 6L looked more flattering. I am usually a size 8 and generally have to go up to a 10 if I need a different size -- I never wear 6's -- so I would say this dress runs small. I think it's because the fabric is quite stretchy.
