This was the perfect dress for an outdoor fall wedding: comfortable and flattering!
The color is a little darker (with the slightest tinge of a blue undertone) than I pictured in my head from the RTR model photo, but still very beautiful. On a similar note, the fabiric was a little heavier than I assumed it would be, but for an outdoor fall event in New England, it was actually perfect. The weight of the fabric is forgiving to a not perfectly flat stomach, and the slight stretch to the fabric is very flatter to an hourglass figure. While the slit is higher and wider than I imagined, it was not inappropriately so. The neckline is tasteful and not too low for a formal event. As I said to my husband on the way home, it met 2 of my big 3 wants in a dress: comfortable and able to be worn with a regular (non strapless) bra. If this thing had had pockets I would have tried to keep it. In all seriousness, if I was to have another event coming up, I would absolutely rent it again.

Curve hugging, flaw hiding, comfortable dress!
So I wish I had gone up a size for the backup instead of down. Other reviews highlighted the stretchiness of the dress--and it's stretchy--once you get it on. Getting it on and off, it's tight and takes some wrangling. Additionally, I wish I'd gone with a long. I didn't realize how short it was going to be. The stylist's notes said regular was good for 5'2" to 5'6"--I'm 5'5" and I could see my feet poking out even when barefoot. It forgot about it once I got to the wedding, but it bugged me a little and I wish I'd gone with the long so it grazed the floor in heels. That all being said, once it was on I couldn't have been more comfortable. The dress was incredibly flattering to curves and moved with me like a second skin all night. I'd definitely consider renting again.

Very lightweight and comfortable!
I went with the backup size because the six (normal size) was SO fitted that I was afraid on the 90+ deg day I’d be miserable. The 8 was just the slightest bit looser so I went with that for comfort. Definitely size up for your backup.

Comfortable and figuring flattering dress. Perfect for a wedding.
The dress is form fitting. I sized down for the backup size and didn't even bother trying it on; the medium fit like a glove. It does ride up a little when you walk, especially if you're curvier in the hips and thighs, but it wasn't anything that was problematic, and I didn't feel like I was tugging at it the whole night. It does have a little stretch that made dancing easy and comfortable. It's less teal than the color shown in the RTR picture, but I wouldn't necessarily call it emerald like others have in their reviews. Very pretty shade of green, but it's not the bluer-type of teal if that's what you're aiming for (which I wasn't).

Super cute, unfortunately didn't work out!
Unfortunately the zipper on my normal size (6) had an issue and kept getting stuck. After struggling for many minutes, I had to give up on it for fear of ruining the dress. Since there was a last minute issue with shipping my back up size, I ended up just going with something I already owned. That being said, this runs true to size and is super cute for a date night, night at the theater, etc. and I would recommend renting it.

So comfortable and flattering! Great to dance in!
I ordered the 4 as my backup size but ended up trying it on first and it fit perfectly so I never even opened the 6. It was perfectly flowy throughout the skirt, and comfortably sized in the bust without being too baggy or big. I loved how the waist was a little more fitted so the dress didn't just hang. By the end of the night I felt the neckline was bothering me a bit, but I honestly don't think that was the dress but was more about me not loving things around my neck. I paired with a chunky gold and pearl bracelet and pearl earrings which picked up on the belt, and nude open toe pumps.

A fun, bright dress. Great for a spring or summer engagement.
I happened to be sick when I wore this to a wedding and despite feeling gross and it being cold and rainy, I felt really comfortable all night in this dress. You can wear a regular bra with it and you can move around all night without having to readjust too much. It does ride up a tiny bit when doing stairs because of how fitted it is, but for the most part it stays in place all night. I paired it with nylons because it was freezing out, but it could definitely be worn without because the stomach area of the dress really hides any pooch you might want to Spanx or control-top into place.

Perfect dress for summer engagement photos!
As many others have mentioned, the bottom layer/under skirt does come below the hem of the lace/eyelet fabric. However, this didn't bother me. It gave the dress a little volume and added depth when in came to texture. It also, in my opinion, added to sort of the rustic, country feel of the dress. I wanted something light and airy, while still having enough structure for my hourglass build. This fit the build. It was about 96 degrees out and even though the dress had some weight to the fabric, it was still light enough and structured in a way that I didn't feel gross or sticky until about an hour into the photo shoot. I would definitely rent this again!

Felt gorgeous!
Like many have said, the straps are a tad long and the chest big. I have an hourglass figure so the bigger chest/small waist ratio actually worked really well for me. I still needed to tape it in place though to feel secure. I loved this dress and would definitely rent it again or try something else by the designer. Overall it was a near perfect fit that could easily be made perfect with a tiny bit of tape and effort.

Didn't wear.
This was a back-up when a dress I ordered couldn't ship. Since the back-up size on my original dress fit, I only tried this on for a slip second to make sure I liked the other dress better. This felt really short, so short that I didn't even bother to zip it up when trying it on because I knew it was too short for my taste. The color is beautiful though and if you don't mind something a little shorter (and maybe have slightly thinner thighs), then this might be a lovely option for a shower or summer event. The color is light so for a nighttime event it might need to be dressed up a little.

Definitely go up a size
I rented a 6 and an 8 because of other's reviews. The 8 was unable to be shipped last minute, and it's a shame because I definitely needed it. While the 6 fit beautifully nearly everywhere, the last two inches of the zipper wouldn't go up. If you're busty, go up!

Not for curvy girls!
This was a backup when the backup size in my original order was unavailable. I tried on both a small and a medium as other reviews said it had some stretch. Despite being a 4-6 usually, I couldn't get into the small and barely could get into the medium. When I did get the medium on, by the time I made it from the bedroom to the kitchen (maybe 400 feet?) it had ridden up around the hips so much it was close to obscene. It's a shame because the color, back, and lace are all gorgeous; it's just not meant for anyone with hips or thighs.

This fit like a glove and made me feel so beautiful!
The slit in the back is definitely a little high, but I honestly didn't even notice until I got home that night and looked, so really I didn't feel overly exposed or inappropriate. I ordered the 6 and the 8 based on others' reviews and the 6 fit like it was cut exactly for me. I have a true hourglass figure (last time I was fitted for a bridesmaid dress my waist was a 4 and my chest/hips around a 8/10), so it's difficult to find something off the rack that meets all measurements and this doing so was such a lovely treat! The crochet lace is heavier than I thought it would be but for an outdoor October wedding it ended up being perfect. The dress is extremely flattering and comfortable (even to dance in.) Another plus is that I could wear a normal bra with it. I would definitely recommend this to a friend and would even consider renting it again. You won't regret it.
