Slit wasn't an issue for me but I am pretty tall. I wore this to my husbands work party and got a ton of compliments. Did size up for the arm issue others reported though and was glad I did.

I lift weights, but I by no means have big arms. The forearms zip shut and were pretty tight on me. It’s also hard to lift your arms completely over your head
