I wore this in Alaska. The material is very thick which is why I wanted to use it as a layer. It would probably be miserable in a hot climate. The material is very stiff and thick. Otherwise I liked it! And it went well with the coat I rented here as well! (Florida girl probs. I had NO winter clothes, let alone clothes for an Alaskan winter.)

I went to Alaska and wore these when I was wanting to be outside for long periods of time to catch the northern lights. They definitely run small! I'm usually a 10 and the 14 were a little snug. They fit but we're NOT comfortable sitting down. Maybe that's me being used to leggings during covid wfh lyfe. But I secretly unbuttoned them while sitting. so size up to avoid embarrassing moments. Let's be honest, these aren't a fashion statement anyways. They are utilitarian. So just size up.

The fit was perfect! It was warm too. I used it as the outer parka layer for a winter Alaska trip. When in doubt, size up because the zipper wasn't great. Especially when you have a million layers underneath trying to prepare your Florida blood to sub zero temps.
