The material is light but double layered so nothing is see-through (important because you can't wear a bra with it). I'm 5'5" and the skirt felt a little too short. It's not a problem when standing, but def couldn't bend forward and got nervous everytime the wind blew. I suggest wearing booty shorts under it to feel safe. Otherwise, it's an awesome dress for a blazing hot summer day as the dress material lets you breath and is light. I wore it to a bridal shower and loved it.

The sequins don't look cheap and it's not itchy, which was great. The fit however is a bit awkward. The waist felt loose but the top felt tight, especially around the arm hole. This is unusual because I'm small on top. I fit an XS better on the bottom but the top was too tight, so I went with a S. It was a bit loose but it wasn't that obvious because of all the sequins.
