I am 5'2" and well proportioned. This dress is pretty but made for someone at least 3 inches taller. Not a good fit at all for a petite woman -- excess fabric from shoulder to waist! I had spoken to a stylist before renting and was surprised that it was still recommended. Otherwise, it is true to size (widthwise).

This dress runs a bit on the small size so good to go up one size. At my height, the hemline was 2 inches below my knee and looked dowdy. If you are tall and slim, this will work for you.
