Classy and warm.
I rented this as an unlimited member on the recommendation of another review, and she was so right. I planned outfits around it and kept finding new excuses to wear it again. It's effortlessly chic, pairs with endless base layers and is WARM. Like, this was my coat on a 30 degree day out in the city warm. I wore it open and closed, and loved it both ways. If I wasn't moving to Texas in a month, I would have purchased this. It's constructed with quality and just a beautiful piece.

HUGE but amazing.
I was tempted to buy this, and I may yet if I rent it again later in the season. This coat was everything a coat should be: warm, huge pockets, and beautiful. It's meant to be worn with a scarf or high-necked sweater, as the neckline falls very low (and at times I wished it had one more button up higher.) It was perfect in all situations: out apple-picking in the orchards, over a dress for date night, or a quick throw-on coat when dropping my daughter off at school. Loved that versatility. My only disappointment was that I went with my recommended size, a Medium (or 6), and I was absolutely swimming in this. I still wore it, often, but when I rent again, I'll get the small for sure. Loved it.

Nice pattern, poor fit
The pattern is lovely, but the neck tie is awkward in any position, and the dress flows so strangely. It has nice fabric, a flattering neckline (minus that tie), and the sleeves were gloriously comfortable for elastic sleeves, but then you have everything else... The fit is very boho-flowy-feminine, which wasn't the vibe I got from the aesthetic of the dress. I was wanting something powerful gold-and-black with a twist. Seemed frumpy and poorly-tailored when on, and gave me a bulkier silhouette. This one was returned unworn.

Felt like royalty.
This dress fits true to size, though maybe a tad small: the piece where the black bodice (very stretchy) meets the brocade skirt (loose and flowing but not stretchy) is a deceptively inflexible seam, so I struggled to zip the dress even though it fit very very well -- the zipper had to lay just-so to close because of that one seam. I rented a few options for family photos, but this was my favorite. Unfortunately, the v-neck is very low and showed a good deal more cleavage than I want immortalized in our portraits (flattering as it was!), so I ended up not wearing it. I just loved this dress, and though it didn't work for my event, I will probably rent it again for winter parties / operas etc in a few months. I will rent a size up to avoid the issues with the zipper, and I think the dress is forgiving/elastic enough that it won't look oversized.

I love big sleeves and I cannot lie.
My husband was not a fan of the sleeves, so this one didn't leave the house, but I enjoyed trying it on and probably would have worn it if the fit was a little looser. I am a solid size 6, occasionally down to a 4, and this 6 was a little too tight across the stomach/hips for comfort -- I wanted more of an effortless sheath look, and I also felt like the hem would have ridden up. Nothing worse than tugging down a dress all day. Gorgeous color, soft material, and (I think) great sleeves.

What a beautiful sweater dress!
I was on the hunt for family photo outfits and this crossed my radar. I wasn't expecting the sweater-dress material, but it's soft and flows well. The dress is a bit more teal vs. true dark green, but it's absolutely lovely regardless. The dress fell well on my frame and was extremely flattering in all the right places. Still on the hunt for a family photo outfit, as this one has a "skater" type silhouette that isn't at all my style -- but I did wear this out for a date night, because my husband loved it so much.
