No give - didn't clear thighs
Another pair of pants that unfortunately had 0 give and were made for straight hips and not much else. They looked high quality, I just couldn't get them on.

It is a cool dress, just didn't really flatter my figure
I love offbeat styles like this, but unfortunately it fell flat for me. I'm pear shaped, and I didn't think that the length or the dimensions of the skirt really flattered me. It elongated my (short) torso, but I think I would have liked it more if it was full length over tea-dress-knee-length.

Solace London never fails
I rented this having bought a SL dress from RTR last year and it being a FANTASTIC fit. The fabric is durable, flattering, and high quality. SL knows how to flatter a wide array of body types, including my pear body. The straps were a little unusual and there's a little side boob action, so this is probably best on those okay with side boob and smaller chested individuals. Slit is sexy but not too high up to make things uncomfortable for movement. I will continue to rent Solace London because I know I can rely on consistency in quality and design.

This dress was nearly everything I needed it to be. Just a little short.
The ruching is fantastic and looked great on my pear-shaped figure. I would have loved for this to be a few inches longer, however. When I placed on the 46R, it fit, but it fell to my mid calf, if not a little higher. I luckily requested the size up, which is what I ended up wearing, as it was incredibly cozy. The larger size also had the smallest amount of extra fabric at the end, so it didn't look like I had dried this dress made poorly. I'd recommend sizing up for pure comfiness, flattering silhouettes, and a knockout garment that rests easily on your frame.

I want to live in this dress
Honestly one of the BEST dresses I've ever worn from RTR. What an absolute dream on my figure. I'm pear shaped, and while the material on the bottom was heavier, I didn't feel I looked heavier. It balanced my silhouette, it's very high quality, and I felt like royalty. I also received high praise at my event for this dress. Wore with flats because I walked to my event (& bc I broke my leg last year & am scared to wear heels), but could pull it off with black tights. Would definitely rent again.

Don't know who this dress is supposed to flatter...
But it certainly isn't me. As a pear-shaped person, this dress's ruching fell in all the wrong places. It was quite honestly one of the least fitting options I've had here at RTR, which was a shame. This may work better for people with smaller hips. It was also a little short on me (I'm 5'9" for reference). Luckily, I was able to wear another option for this dinner/formal affair that fit perfectly.

Cute but runs small
I wanted to love this dress because I usually look great in gold. However, this dress was quite snug, even with Spanx, and not in a "flatter my curves" sort of way. More of a "point out every bump I have and make it shimmer" situation. For obvious reasons, I returned it.

Power blazer of my dreams
I had a really amazing opportunity on my plate that I rented this power blazer for. Unfortunately, with the spreading pandemic, this opportunity has been shelved until the pandemic subsides. All of that aside, this jacket truly is magnificent and I feel like I’m walking around in art. That’s my favorite part of fashion. Maybe one day I can rent it again actually have somewhere to go to show off its artistry, kick butt professionally, and feel alive and okay again.

The perfect tailored trouser
I have never once worn such a comfortable pair of pants in my life. No exaggeration. They checked all the boxes, high quality material, tailored cut, long enough, and flattering. As a pear-shaped woman, it's almost impossible to find a flattering pair of pants that actually fit over my hips and aren't then loose on my waist. I never wanted to take them off. Definitely a pair I'd buy in the future.

The sparkles! The cut!
I didn't realize this dress was metallic until received it, but that was a pleasant surprise & perfect for the holiday season. I wore it to work & received a ton of compliments. The length is appropriate for my casual work environment & also for winter. I'm currently riding a scooter after breaking my leg and I can happily say the dress is HC-friendly. The only issue I had was that the torso/ shoulder portion was too wide and big for me and often slipped off my shoulders. Otherwise a nice dress.

This top was a crowd pleaser at work. It's funky but professional and the sleeves are so fun. It's a little small for a normal 14, but otherwise, it was a good choice to wear to work.

This coat is everything I want from a 70s aesthetic
I adored this coat. Not only did I feel fabulous, but literally every person who had any interaction with me (I kid you not) praised this coat. It was plenty warm, had pockets, and is synthetic so no furry animals were harmed in the process. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because it was pretty big. I mean more than just pouffy. I'm in between sizes (M&L) and I should have opted for a M. I'd definitely rent again, or maybe even buy!

HC-friendly and flattering gown
I broke my leg and use a knee scooter. This didn't stop me from going to the ballet, tho. This dress worked well with my HC needs and was probably the best thing I could have worn given the circumstances. My one complaint is that the dress has ZERO stretch which doesn't make it very curve-friendly. I ended up wearing my backup size & it was still incredibly tight on my thighs, while very loose on top. I ended up pinning it to my bra to avoid gaps. A very elegant dress sure to win compliments.

Little pop of details takes the cake
I know reviewers were saying this dress it too big & shapeless but honestly this is the best sweater dress I've ever worn. As a pear-shaped tall woman, it's hard to find a sweater dress that works with my figure & frame. However, my curves were highlighted & flattered in this dress, & the little pop of colour on the mock neck & sleeves brightens up this black dress. I recently broke my leg and have been on a scooter, & I was able to pair this with leggings & still look great and professional!

What a snazzy sweater!
I have the RTR Unlimited plan primarily for the bad ass sweater collection. This option from Slate and Willow is no exception. I've worn a few items from this designer and love them all. The garments take classic standards and add just enough flare to them to make them stand out. The boxy crop cut on this (it falls right on my hip) paired with the roominess of the L (I always size up with sweaters) was perfectly cozy and professionally enough for my office. Perfect weight too for winter.

Drapey in the best way
Okay, to state the obvious, the sleeves are amazing. And so fun! This might not be a sweater you wear to whip something up in the kitchen for, but it's a great work sweater. Compliments abound. The one pitfall with wearing it however is in the winter. It's quite difficult stuffing those sleeves into a coat and the end result for me always resulted in looking like the bundled up kid in A Christmas Story. Otherwise, love!

Compliments all night long
Rented this for a 1920s themed party. I'm 5'9" and it fell slightly below the knee. As a pear-shaped individual, it was a little iffy trying to get it over my hips, but once I did it flowed down nicely. Material is HEAVY, which is great for a chilly weather event like mine, but might be too much in warmer months. Very elegant and classic. Looks stupendously flattering on curves. Received compliments all night long.

Boss Babe Jacket
It's crazy how a single piece of clothing can make you feel way more powerful and bold. This jacket did it for me. Not only is it perfect for taller gals (I'm 5'9"), it's also beautiful and fits & flows wonderfully. Sleeves are slightly tapered, but via the lining inside, so it still maintains that loose flowy appearance. Colours pop and would be great for a lot of different skin tones (warm, cool, neutral). Also have I mentioned how comfy it was? The perfect weight. In love.

Best fitting dress yet
I joined RTR Unlimited to jazz up my work days in figure flattering options for my pear shape. I have rented with RTR before for black tie events & loved the selection then, but my oh my, this simple dress takes the cake. Not only is it heckin' comfortable, it's just the right amount of glam in the metallic skirt to make me feel a little extra something throughout the workday. And it falls at a perfect length to flatter my figure. It's going to be very hard to return this little number.

The perfect amount of sexy and class
Wore this out for a wine date with someone and I can confirm that it did the trick. It didn't pull or tug anywhere, the arms were just the right amount of structure without feeling tight or limiting my movement, and the pattern was cute and flattering, but of course, just the right amount of classy, effortless sex appeal. I felt gorgeous in it. Amazing how one piece of clothing can make you feel so good. In fact, I was having such a good time I forgot to take a photo!

Cute, but
It is flattering, but it is short! I'm 5'9" and the 8R hit me mid-calf. I figured I could rock that and make it a thing, despite it being mermaid cut, but the slip kept moving around. Had this been a looser silhouette, that wouldn't be a problem, but as it's a pretty tight silhouette and the zipper is also attached to the slip, when the fabric moved, the zipper moved and bunched in the back, which made for a rather messy silhouette. The positives: it's stretchy, forgiving, and really flattering on girls with curves. It's also a soft & comfortable material. The cons: it's way too short for a long dress, and the slip is too thick to be moving around like that. There's no way to subtly rearrange without going to the bathroom and fixing it. I ended up just wearing another dress.

Pretty but...
It felt sort of generic. There wasn't much about this dress that made me feel special or stand out, which is what I wanted. I have a warm skin tone, and surprisingly this cool cobalt colour actually flattered my tone. I also felt a little swallowed by the skirt, a little more voluminous than I was expecting. If you're into that princessy look, then this would be a great option! Just not my style.

This one takes the cake!
This was a backup dress for my event, which I ended up wearing. I adore this dress! I think it would have been better if I had a little more bust to fill in the top, but some crafty safety pinning saved me here. My friend wore a teal waistcoat and black everything else, and we stole all the looks at this fancy event. It's perfect for summer events, flowy and sexy, yet refined and classy. I got this in a 10L and it was the perfect length for my 5'9" frame. So flattering in its layered A-line design. Definitely would buy this dress if I could afford it. I recommend this to pretty much any body shape.

Didn't see the ruching there
It's hard to see in the picture, but there's ruching on the waist/hips. I think it takes away from the sleekness I was hoping this dress had, because I really am a sucker for mock necks. It fit fine, it just didn't flatter. I chose to wear a backup dress instead.

Almost perfect!
I rented this for a formal event the orchestra was putting on. I was worried being a pear-shaped woman that this wouldn't be flattering, but it fit like a glove (be it a very, very tight glove). It was a backup option for my original dress selections, and I was *this* close to wearing it, but I chose another backup option that was a bit lighter of fabric and more flowy. I didn't want to give this back though! I felt so sexy in it and it perfectly accentuated my curves! If I had the money, I'd buy it so I could have it forever. Pear-shaped babes, jump on this! Note though: the chest is very small, which worked for my body shape but probably wouldn't be good for women with larger than a B cup unless they wanted to size up.

Sample Sale Goodness
I have really gotten into boxy tops lately, and when I saw this as an option in my size, I hopped on it. I tried it on and the shirt fits quite well, save for being a little tight in the biceps. But for Derek Lam standards, I was very pleased something this designer made not only fit, but flattered, a pear-shaped me. Just got a fancy new office job and I'll be sure to rock this top!
