I didn’t end up wearing this dress because the welcome party was more casual than I originally anticipated but if I had I would have needed to alter the straps. Much like what others have said in reviews, the straps are way too loose and need to be cinched together in the back with some thread or something.

I am 5'5" and could not wear flats with this dress, it required heels which is something to consider if you are having back problems during pregnancy. The fabric is thick enough to wear Nippies Skin and no bra. The material is really comfortable and was almost too casual for our rehearsal dinner event but the cut and color helped me pull it off just fine.
