The color and length were perfect on me - I am just under 5'5'' and wore small heels. The back of the dress hit the floor, but didn't drag and considering the movement and flow of the gown, it barely grazed the floor. I am small chested, so purchasing the deep cut bra (from Amazon) and using fashion tape to secure the dress was clutch - it was a tad baggy in the top. I received so many compliments and the dress was so fun to dance in!
