This had potential. I didn't wear it bc I'm a tad body conscious after 3 babies. The L was not available, so I tried the M. It was really comfortable, as previous renters have stated, color was beautiful, and it showed off curves. I was able to wear a strapless bra easily. Unfortunately I was too self conscious with my post-baby belly. The belt hit right at a tough spot for those of us still carrying baby weight- it accented my lower belly. Might be cute for an early maternity wear though!

So I do have a slightly longer torso- I wouldn't categorize it as "long torso", but longER. I'm only 5'6'' also. This short was so short, it looked ridiculous. It didn't even cover my high waisted pleather Spanx seam. The idea of the shirt was cute, but the fit was too short. Not sure a larger size would've made a difference

I was super nervous to attend this black tie wedding bc I recently had a baby and have been self conscious about my post-baby bod. Well this dress was seriously perfect. I generally am a size 10 or 12 these days, have a lot of leftover belly and some extra thighs and butt. I put on this dress and immediately felt great in it. The material, as stated in other reviews is perfectly snug (without being corset-tight), I was able to wear my Spanx without any lines showing, it hugged my curves in all the right places and best of all, was incredibly comfortable! Also, side note, I have massive boobs (36D or so these days) and I didn't have to wear a bra- so that should tell you something about the material! The color was gorgeous and the detail on the neckline also fab. I truly loved this dress and felt amazing in it.

I was 5 months pregnant with my first and had a small bump. This dress fit perfectly, showing off the bump in perfect fashion. If you are renting this dress and have a sizable chest, I wouldn't be shy- those are definitely shown off too! I loved it. Made me feel pretty and pregnant- not fat!
