I usually wear either a 4 or a 6 and have never had an issue with fit for any dress I've ever gotten from RTR. However, this dress...where do I begin? It is inappropriately short in the back, but longer in front, which was weird. The fabric feels completely cheap. The dress was really baggy everywhere except for the sleeves, which were so tight I couldn't lift my arms. Overall, the dress was extremely ill-fitting, and I was not able to wear it. One other notes is that there's a strange flap of fabric on the front of the dress that I didn't notice on the photos, so be aware of that if you plan to wear a necklace.

Overall, I think this dress is really pretty, but not a super stunner - it's pretty basic. But it worked perfectly for the wedding rehearsal dinner to which I wore it. I ordered this as my second $35 dress (along with the dress I rented for the wedding itself), so i could only get one size. Based on other reviews, I went down to a size 4 (I am usually kind of between a 4 and 6). I'm really glad I did, because the 6 would have been too big. I actually probably could have worn a 2 for the fit, except that it would have been too short in the front. It is definitely made to be a looser fit, not fitted at the top or through the stomach. The color is pretty and so is the dress and the way it's cut, but this isn't a "look at me" kind of dress. I really liked it, and was glad I chose it for this particular event, but if you're looking for something super special to stand out, this may not be the right choice.

I could have probably worn the 4 or the 6, but the 6 was a little baggy/less flattering, and it was significantly longer than the 4 - too long. So I went with the 4, and it was perfect. The color is absolutely beautiful in person, and the dress is super flattering. As others have mentioned, you can't wear a regular bra because of the back, but I found that the top was snug enough so that this was not a problem. I would totally recommend this dress!

I normally wear a 6, sometimes a 4, but in this case, the 4 was perfect (and I probably could have even gone down to a 2, except that it would have been a bit short - I am 5' 8"). It is definitely more orange than red (I was expecting a reddish color from the model photos), but still beautiful and flattering. Some of the orange pieces were falling off on the top, but it still looked great and was perfect for the event!

I rented this dress for a wedding that was on New Year's Eve, which also happens to be my birthday (triple whammy!). Here's the rundown: 1. I am usually a size 4 or 6 in regular clothes, and I rented this dress in a 42 and 44. 2. The dress is VERY fitted, and I would recommend sizing up vs. down for your second size. I ended up wearing the smaller size (42), but if my hips were any wider, it would not have fit, and I would have had to wear the bigger size. 3. The fabric has absolutely NO give anywhere, so if you are curvier, this may not be the dress for you. 4. You cannot wear a bra since the back is all lace. That said, it's tight enough where that wasn't a problem for me (34D chest), but something to be aware of if you're uncomfortable going braless. 5. The photo makes the dress look black, but it is actually navy, and only the lace is black. Very chic, but just something to note if you're looking for an all black number. 6. Despite the cutouts, the tight fit and inability to wear a bra, the length, style and color still made this dress totally appropriate for a wedding (and it was a family wedding, but I was still completely comfortable). It is definitely sexy, but still classy. 7. The temperature was below zero outside the day I wore this, so I ended up having to wear tights or I would have frozen, but it still looked good with opaque black tights, and it made it a bit more conservative, too. Overall, I absolutely LOVED this dress. I felt great in it and it was perfect for the occasion. I would definitely rent this again and would recommend it highly!

I am usually a size 4 or 6, so I ordered both the Medium and the Small sizes. I ended up wearing the small, and it was PERFECT. The fabric is very heavy, so I didn't wear a sweater (which I was initially planning on wearing). The dress is tight enough to make your body look fabulous, but not TOO tight to where it was inappropriate for my office holiday party. The full skirt really helped with that as well. The one thing I would caution on is that the skirt on the small was pretty long on me (just above the knees), and I'm 5'8". So if you're on the shorter side, be aware of this and make sure it's the style you're looking for.
