I wore this to the annual fundraising gala for the nonprofit that I work for. Family, colleagues, acquaintances, and strangers all gushed about how amazing this dress was. It is eye catching, dramatic, flattering, and fairly easy to wear. I did use a safety pin and fashion tape for the neckline as this was a work event (and I thought wearing a camisole under the dress would take away from its visual impact). It is stretchy and comfortable, but also very bodycon—so you may want shapewear underneath. I think it runs slightly small. The sequins were a little scratchy on my underarm where the edge of the sleeve hit but this was minor. Don’t wear this if you don’t want your dress to be a primary topic of conversation all night long!

I chose this dress for my organization’s gala; I wanted to be festive but not too bare. This definitely hit the mark and felt very special and joyous. I ordered the 4 and the 6 and would have gone with the 4 except it was a little too tight in the shoulders and I couldn’t reach around to zip myself all the way up in the back, and no one else was home to assist. Thank goodness for the 6, which fit fine—maybe just a little more room in the waist than necessary. Maybe order up one size if you will be getting dressed without a helper. The hem of the 6 was falling down in a couple places, which was initially a bummer (thus my 4 star rating), but was easily safety pinned up and the fix was invisible. I also cut some stray threads. Finally, note that this is a warm dress! It was perfect for the occasion and definitely felt like fashion, not just clothes. It garnered many compliments and made me look forward to trying Rent the Runway again.
