I was surprised that this didn't work for me; usually these types of dresses are great for someone tall and pear shaped. However, this was too low for me, too big in the shoulders, yet too small in the rib cage. I'm sure it would be lovely on others, but just had weird proportions for me.

Here are the pros: great color, can be dressed up or down, good for different seasons, flattering shape, flattering neckline (although could be too much cleavage for some people), I felt like it was true to size Here are the cons: the lining doesn't flow like the dress, so although it fit, it wasn't terribly comfortable. The lining tended to ride up from the lace, making it seem very short. It's hard to see in the pictures, but the lining is several inches shorter than the lace, so the dress could look too short if you're not careful. The edges on the shoulder are kind of frayed, so the dress doesn't look quite as polished as in the pictures. It's more casual in person than I anticipated, but that was fine.

This was a backup dress that I ordered and I did not end up wearing this one. The other one was just more appropriate for the wedding I was attending. I will say, it's a very cute dress that is flattering to pear shapes. I loved that it had pockets! The red is an orange-y red, which did not bother me. The dress was WAY short, though. I'm 5' 10", so that's not surprising, but fair warning to other tall girls out there!
