Black Halo runs small. I rented a 14 with 16 as a backup, and went with the 16, which was a perfect fit. The V cut the front showed off my larger chest, but I was wearing a neck scarf regardless, so I wasn’t concerned.

Fun Color, Fun Bag!
A true, bright green. The bag was in excellent condition, must’ve been brand new. Love that you have the option of the adjustable crossbody shoulder strap, or to carry by the handles. The bag itself is small, but it’s big enough for the essentials – keys, large phone, lipstick, compact, hand sanitizer. My favorite part are the dual zippers on the front which you can unzip to expand the bag to make more space. I carried it around New York with me because I wanted an option I could wear comfortably under an overcoat if I needed to.

Nice quality - size down for a fitted blazer look
After reading reviews, I decided to size down one from my normal size. The result was it fit me normally with a *slightly* “baggy” look. I like to roll my blazer sleeves up, but the cuffs here were a little bit too big, so I wouldn’t recommend doing that. It’s a pretty color, nice material, and I can tell it’s high-quality.

I saw this line mentioned in Vogue, and honestly was expecting a little more. The leather didn’t feel particularly expensive, and because of the narrow base of the purse, it would not stand up. This also made the purse shallower than I thought, and so it ended up not holding much! I had my items fall out more than once.

Fun glasses! Got compliments on these. Worn with the blazer in the photo and a gold necklace and bracelet. Taking off a star because they didn’t come with a YSL case (it was a RENT THE RUNWAY case that was falling apart). To me, the case is part of what “makes” the sunglasses.

Beautiful necklace, but heavy and felt constricting around my neck.
I rented this, along with the matching bracelet, to pair with an off-white blazer for work. The necklace itself is beautiful and well-made (high quality), but it’s a bit heavy, and because of the chunky style, it felt a bit constricting around my neck. I was ready to take it off after a while.

As other reviews stated, it’s very small. I have normal-sized wrists, and I could barely get it closed. When I finally did manage to close it, there was no give and it was pressing into my skin. It makes you wonder if there were links taken out of it!

2-in-1 Earring!
The silver link in the earring can be removed, so you have the option of wearing just a small gold hoop. I definitely liked that surprise of the versatility, but otherwise, I thought they were just OK. Nice quality, just not at the top of my list. I thought that the gold and the silver finish was a bit too shiny.

Liked it so much I bought it!
The mixed prince is wet, dream me to the stress and but I think makes it interesting. Otherwise, it’s just a simple wrap dress with lightweight fabric. Contrary to some other reviews, I found the wrap part to be fine I cinched it extra tight by pulling the straps past the base, where they attached to the dress for a more “fitted look” - and this allowed me to cover my chest a bit more with one side of the dress. It’s also a great postpartum pick since the drape across the front camouflages the tummy.

Gorgeous color
Wore this for a work conference. I wish I had snapped a full length picture! The top part has small pads in the shoulders to give it structure. Camouflages a large bust nicely. The bottom part is straight and fitted, which balances out the top nicely and makes for an overall flattering fit. The color looks more red in the RTR photo, but it’s a true orange-red in person. I’m an 18 right now, but I wore Spanx to make the 16 work.

Wore these for work meetings on Capitol Hill. High quality, nice weight. The best part of all is they’re reversible! You can wear them on the white marbled side or black marbled side. Paired nicely with my Badgley Mischka dress for a conservative, yet flattering look.

Excellent for curvy gals!
This was my first time wearing Marina Rinaldi. She nailed it with the cut and fit of this skirt! The denim waistband sat perfectly on my waist, and the skirt part hugged my curves just perfectly, with the cut, going slightly in at my knees, creating an hourglass look. The material is thick and high-quality, giving *just* enough stretch to be comfortable and hug your curves. Great for every day wear, or dressed up a little for a girls night out. I threw this on with a rib tank top.

SUPER Flattering Fit! Great for postpartum wear.
Wore with black ankle boots for a girls night out dinner. The cut and fit of this dress was SO flattering on my figure. The drape with ruffle across the front did a good job of camouflaging my postpartum tummy. I’m a size 40I in the bust, and the top portion still fit me comfortably and didn’t expose too much. Comfortable to wear, and the material is very high-quality. I’ll absolutely rent this again.!

Fun dress for birthday party!
Wore this for my son’s summer-themed birthday party. Fun creamsicle colors, nice and light-weight knit so it’s perfect for spring or summer. This dress is great for postpartum bodies. The cut is forgiving in the arms and in the tummy, yet it’s still flattering. The front is a bit low cut, so busty ladies should consider using a safety pin to close the front like I did.

Perfect Black Tie Optional Dress
Got a ton of complements on this dress! I rented both an 18 and a 20. I am postpartum and in between sizes right now, so the 20 fit me a bit better around the stomach – wasn’t as tight. The fabric was very high-quality, some stretch, and thick enough in the chest area that I did not have to wear a bra. It was perfect for a black tie optional gala in Washington, D.C.

To small - couldn’t wear
Unfortunately, I had to exchange this for another style completely. I was a 14-16 pre-pregnancy, and postpartum I am more of an 18. Unfortunately, I couldn’t wear the jumpsuit for that reason. (Black Halo runs small anyway.) I had the most powerful compression Spanx, and that didn’t work either as I could not get it zipped in the back. There was about a 2-3 inch gap where the zipper is. Otherwise, it would have been a comfortable jumpsuit with some stretch in the top. If you want your toes to peek out and your shoes be covered, definitely order the Long. Otherwise, it hit right at about my ankle.

Fun Party Dress!!
I rented this for my sister-in-law's bachelorette party… You can't go wrong with bright sequins! I only knocked off a star because for larger chested women you really need to rock a Cami underneath or else it's just a bit too much. I compromised for that by throwing on a denim shirt over it. I normally wear a size 14, but was able to fit into a 12 comfortably.

The size L was a sung fit around my size 12 curves and DDD bust, but it was still comfortable. Unfortunately, I didn't have an opportunity to wear it, and went with my other pick (as this dress was a backup). Perfect for a concert or bachelor party, but a bit too sexy - in my husbands opinion - for his Ivy-League reunion crowd. I planned on putting a leather jacket over it, but throw on a black blazer to tone down the sexy vibe if you wish.

Sexy & chic. Wore this to my husband's 10 year college reunion. It was a conservative length and covered the arms, with unique cut-outs to show a little skin in the right places and still be sexy without being over-the-top. Curve-hugging all the way - lots of stretch. All that was available was the 10, so I wore Spanx and made it work. Even though the arms were snug, the dress fit comfortably all night due to the stretch in material. So, if one needed to, I think they could get away with a smaller backup size.

Copied the RTR model's look and paired this with the Kenneth Jay Lane Polished Crystal Drop Earrings and Polished Crystal Ring. The look was perfect. The top covered enough, and a conservative enough length for a wedding- but it still hugged my curves in all the right places. SUPER flattering cut. I am a DDD, and didn't have to wear a bra. The material has a little give, which is good, because it JUST fit. I am a size 12, so that's why I put "true to size", but if you've had a big weekend of partying and eating I would recommend sizing up just for a little more room. The backup size 10 did not fit me. Comfortable to wear dancing all night! Would rent this LBD again!

Perfect for a wedding. It fit my size 6 finger well, thanks to the adjuster on the inside of the ring. So much fun to wear!!!! Would definitely rent again.

Elegant for my son's Baptism
Pro: Fit nicely, pretty lace detailing. I am a 36 DDD and was able to fit into the dress without it being too tight. Cons: Was a bit shorter than I would have liked. I prefer true knee-length, and this hit right above the knee....mostly because this was a Church event. (Note: I am 5'8" and was wearing platform heels) As the other renters stated, the fabric color is more of light steel-gray than as portrayed in the picture. I ended up securing the V in the front with a safety pin to hide some of my cleavage - again, only because this was a church function...otherwise would have been fine.

Big Busts Beware....
I needed a black dress for a funeral, and since I had just had a baby none of mine fit - que RTR! Unfortunately, this was the only suitable and conservative dress available short notice in my size. I ordered a 12, and at the time I was on the larger size of a 12, however the dress still fit ok - it JUST fit -- everywhere but the chest. The metal snap on the chest area where the dress wraps over would not stay shut! I just couldn't get it to work...I ended up wearing a black wrap over the dress to cover my problem area. Note, I am 5'8", a 36DDD and at the time weighed around 197 pounds.

Gala-Worthy!
I wore this dress to the 25th Anniversary Gala for the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington, DC. It was an amazing night since I was invited personally by the Director of the museum to represent one of their artists. I love Helmut Lang for it's modern, sleek silhouettes - and I knew I could pull of wearing black with just a pop of color. (especially in the more conservative climate of Washington) This dress highlights your figure, and I especially love the slit in the front - added bonus: showing a little leg! I'm busty, and curvy and the L worked perfectly. Perfect for a black-tie affair if you're looking for understated elegance. -- It must be, because I had my picture snapped for Washingtonian Magazine!
