Stunning dress - vintage and modern in one look
This dress has a very vintage, "Mad Men" quality to it due to the fabric, cut, and handmade quality of the construction. However, it's somehow also modern and different. I really, really loved this rental - the dress is a work of art. I am a solid size 8... a 6 in brands that exaggerate and sometimes a 10 for higher fashion narrow cuts. This is the first dress I have seen in a long time where the 46 (size 8 according to the conversion) was way too big. The size 44 (6) fit well, not tight at all, and I am curvy! The waist is high but not empire, and the skirt is like a bell - big pleats on the front and back in a way that the skirt hangs out stiffly - doesn't hang straight down or twirl. The cut is very flattering but also very different from most of the current closely tailored styles for formal events.

Great addition to a dress
When I first took these out of the box, I wasn't that impressed. Not sure if it is because they have been worn a lot, but they looked sort of dull and clunky. However, when I put them on with my dress, they were perfect - bold and added a lot of style to my look. Yes, my ears were a bit sore from wearing heavy clip-ons all night, but compared to the suffering I have endured for shoes it is nothing!

Work of Art.
Everything about this dress is amazing - the style, the fabric, the construction - it looks and feels like a high-end, high-fashion garment. My pic makes it look like a a normal dress, but it is not - it is truly a work of art. The only fit that matters is the ribcage and up - skirt is very full with tons of pleats. Fabric is thick with no stretch. The size 8 on me was a perfect, closely tailored fit - the 10 probably would have looked ok but the 6 would have been too tight.

Gorgeous and classy
I loved this dress even though I didn't wear it! This was my backup and I only received the 8. I zipped it up without a problem, but it definitely looked like I squeezed myself in there and wasn't going to be comfortable for an all-day event. Basically, the style notes are correct - the cut is narrow and curves should size up. I hope to have another event to wear this and I will choose the 10! My first choice dress fit great and I was glad to have the chance to try this - it is a killer dress.

Fitted and flattering
Size 8 was perfect - the fabric is thin, stretchy, and fits tightly in the hips, but something about it is very flattering - I am not someone who can wear tight jersey cotton dresses but this thin but crisp cotton looked great. The top is a bit poofy, but cute. I liked the lace panel in the middle but note that it shows your cleavage/bra especially if you are curvy, so I wore a tight black tank underneath for my daytime event with family.

Fun and different
The 8 wasn't available so I got this in a 10. The hips were fitted - not sure if I could have squeezed in the 8, but the top was a little big. As others have said I had an issue with the sleeves slipping down, but fashion tape worked great! I took a close-up pic of the fabric - the dress is a gold color and in photos the light bounces off it in a way that looks metallic, but note the the pattern is a matte graphical print - still fun, just not what I was expecting.

Nice dress for a daytime event
The 8 in this dress fit me perfectly - it was snug while being zipped but well tailored once on. The look is not sleek - the fabric is thick and the lace on the outside is looser, especially in the pleats around the waist. I thought the white fabric would be a shinier whiter silk but the appearance is more of a natural color linen (see pic). I went with my backup for my formal event. As the description states, this dress would be cute for a shower or other daytime party.

Fun, flattering dress
I received this dress as a backup for a spring family event, and ended up wearing it instead of my original choice. Dress was even more flattering in person than in the photo. Color is fun and trendy. Lace is good quality - I especially liked the subtle zigzag of the hemline. The size 8 fit perfectly - not tight but tailored well to my body. I am 5'6" and the dress hit exactly at my knee.

This dress was.... okay.
Dress is supposed to be flowy, but I am definitely a curvy 8 and the 6 was big on me - I would have even liked to try the 4. On the good side, the dress is well designed - you can wear a bra with thin straps and the flowiness of it is flattering. I am 5'6" and the dress came well below my knees; the fabric is thin and unlined. I ended up going with my more structured backup, but even though it was a little large I could have worn this for my event and looked nice.

Flattering, easy to wear, and got tons of compliments on this! I wear a pretty solid size 8 and the M was a good size for me; I got the L as a backup and I wish I had gotten the small just to try it. I did wear a tank top underneath because of the deep armholes.
