This dress was beautiful, high-quality, and very flattering -- which was particularly impressive as I'm a size or two bigger than usual. The boning in the bodice both clearly defined my waist and hoisted up the girls. But it ended up being a little too much for the more understated event that I was attending; my friend described me as looking like a wealthy antebellum Southern lady (think "Gone With the Wind"). But I would definitely consider renting again for a different event.

Attended an art opening in this dress and it was perfect. I styled it as suggested -- with a statement necklace and pointy-toe heels -- and received many compliments. I thought it fit true to size. It can get a little warm if you're dancing or just in the middle of a crowd, as the cape is not detachable. That said, it was great for a cold evening. As a head's up, the dress that I wore is beginning to show a little wear. Not enough to be noticeable to other people, but there were definitely arm pit stains (see the warmth factor, above), which were not present on my backup size.
