Dress material is very stretchy but has a short liner underneath that is not very stretchy. I am a true hourglass and my hips are much larger than my waist in comparison, I am 5'2" and 135 pounds and probably should have gone with a 4. It was pretty comfortable all night long and I got a lot of compliments on it!
